Natural desiccated thyroid (NDT)

hi all, Im switching from ndt to t3 as already take levo. Usually I take 60mg per day of ndt plus 100mcg Levo. My Levo without ndt was 150mcg. Can anyone give me some advice on how to transition from 60mg ndt to t3? The t3 tabs are 25mcg so I’ll need to cut them down

The NHS diagnosed this for me some years ago, and since then I have been treated privately with ndt. I'd assumed the ndt was 'topping up' my low thyroid hormones, but now understand that the ndt acts as a 'replacement'. What are the implications for my thyroid?

So it was suggested I try adding T3 to my ndt and I started 10mcg in the morning last week and finally my hair has stopped shedding. So I reduced my afternoon ndt by half. My dose now is 2 grains ndt am with 10mcg T3 pm 1 grain.

Interestingly I gave him my bloods pre NDT and last test but I only gave the T4 and T3, he didn’t ask for the TSH 😆 was I lucky and got someone a bit switched on? Anyone else here switched to Levo and Lio from NDT? I’d be interested in your advice/experiences please. Thank you.

I’ll take any reliable Ndt suppliers too, but can’t tolerate thyroid-s. Can only find T4 docs around me and since being off Ndt during the pandemic I have been greatly struggling. Thanks!

Doctors not having having any of it as per norm, so I may got thronixe and a bit of T3 or just go with NDT again. Can I get a PM of NDT, Levo, and T3 please? Thanks Russ

Hello everyone As I was badly stung (financially) by a scammer on here before in my quest to secure some NDT, I wonder if someone can let me have a reliable source (perhaps from Thailand) of an NDT supplier.

.🤔 T3....4.3.... this as improved from the 3.2 in May I reckon I need to increase the ndt🤷‍♀️, the clinician at roseway did tell me because my thyroid hormone levels were so dire..especially TSH I should be looking at around 3 months on the ndt to see my levels

Tests were all done as advised here except when I was on Armour/NDT, I found that taking the NDT at 8pm (12 hours before test) kept me awake so, as it was just for my reference, I took it as usual about 3pm and skipped my morning dose.

I was buying OTC from Italy but that became difficult so I have been on NDT for the last couple of years but the price is just going up and up. Would be greatful if some could DM any sellers of either T3 or NDT at a reasonable cost.

hi, I cant find the ideal time for testing while on ndt , was it 24 hrs after the last dose or 12 hrs?

Since I’m on Levo/T3 - just want to ask if the upper quadrant ~75% through range guidance is the same for NDT. I don’t want to apply what I know of combo therapy to NDT.

I've been on 120mg Ndt for years. I'm very symptomatic. My new doctor tested my reverse t3 and it's very high and said I'm not converting well and basically overmedicated with t4. He lowered my NDT to 90mg and added 5mcg t3 to start daily. I only started 3 days ago and It has been rough!
