i asked my endo for ferritin blood work along with CRP- hs She wants to know why i am requesting CRP test, also crp is not covered by the insurance. How do i explain?

I have a follow up telephone appointment next week to discuss recent blood test results as requested by GP due to abnormal lipid (triglycerides ) and ferritin levels which have been elevated on a few occasions prior too. Just wondered if any one can interpret them and advise what I might expect in advance

Hello everyone I have just had a ferritin blood test and been a bit blown away by the result. It was a staggering 155 with a range of 13-150. I haven’t achieved such giddy heights since childhood. It means that the ferrous fumarate is working.

Our Doctor recently did a B12 and Ferritin blood test and is now demanding that we stop self injecting with immediate effect to prevent B12 toxicity….. Has anyone ever heard of this and if not, how do we deal with this?

Recently had an iron panel and ferritin blood test with following results.

I went to the Haematologist to discuss the return of my iron deficiency symptoms and was recommended a scan of my liver to explain raised ferritin levels, which subsequently excluded a fatty liver being the cause of my raised ferritin blood test results.

Recent blood test shows Ferritin 88 (30 to 400) Folate 4.7 (3.89 to 26.8 Could this be why I’m itching my arms every night driving me nuts. Dr is happy with my results, cannot find a reason for this itch. How do I increase these levels please, many thanks

I had a blood test for ferritin in September 2023 which showed 91 ug/L (23-400), my TSH was <0.02mU/L (0.30-4.50), T3 11.5pmol/L (3.1-6.8), T4 26.4 pmol (11-22).

Where is the best place to buy a blood test that will cover B12, folate, ferritin and vitd? Can’t seem to find one that covers them all but also entirely possible it’s me being dim lol Thanks, GTS🦭

I have an appointment with a GP tomorrow and will be discussing getting my ferritin levels up, a recent blood test had them at 37.5ug/L. I’m interested in people’s experiences of side effects when coming off this drug.

My AST and all other liver blood tests were all normal. Bone blood test normal, Ferritin levels normal and FBC normal. I now have to go for a liver ultrasound on Monday coming, has anyone else ever had this before?

His January 2025 blood test showed his ferritin is at 27 now, hemoglobin at 110 (normal is 111-140) for his age. Please could anyone advise? Why is he losing patches of hair? Is it due to the low iron? He is such a poor eater as well.

just had blood tests done because I have pain in my right pelvic area. Come back with high ferritin. Mines 200 and should be below 150. I googled it and don’t really understand it. Can’t get an appointment with GP for 3 weeks so has anyone on here ever had this result. I’m a bit anxious about it.

Does anyone have a recommendation for where I can get a full panel iron fasting test with serum ferritin in the uk? Many thanks in advance
