Ferritin test

Had a terror in reading of 226, don't know if this is really high. Changed diet, and only drink a bottle of red wine over 3 days. My question is is this classed as high thank you

Ferritin test

I thought that I’d already posted this, but obviously didn’t 🤪 My ferritin level after iron infusion went up to 544 (>300) Have just had another test and it’s dropped to 276 (>300) Is this normal or is it going down too quickly only a couple of months, if that, between tests

Ferritin test

On diagnosis with PV I was told never take iron supplements as it drives the disease. I have read posts where people were prescribed iron supplements. I wanted to know what would have prompted these prescriptions and what form it was given. I have symptoms which I think could be caused by low ferritin

Hashi's and low ferritin. Test results advice please

Hi all, I was diagnosed with hypo a year ago with TSH 10.7 and my GP prescribed 25mg Levo that was later increased to 50mg. A month ago I did bloods for TSH and T4 only and the results were TSH 4.2 and T4 17 and they didn't give me any ranges. GP said they were normal and kept me on 50mg. I was completely

High ferritin level?

I've just had the results of my ferritin blood test which I managed to get at the third attempt at same gp surgery. After reading about them on numerous occasions on here.To my and doctors surprise the reading came out at 980.He says that it could be a mistake at the lab.I'm scheduled for another test

Update on Ferritin results between NHS and Medichecks

The last comparison was to test ferritin on 16th Dec, all using venous draw, by same nurse at same time and send 3 samples off to 3 labs - 1 x NHS, 1 TDL (medichecks) and 1 County. To me County's results are a bit all over the shop.

Ferritin 19

I got my results today - ferritin. I declined the b12 test as I’ve been having injections for the last 1.5 years every 8 weeks My ferritin is 19! Bottom range 15! ‘Doctor signed it off as normal’ What bearing does this have for me please?

Results of iron deficiency test. All ok?

I’ve just received the results of an iron deficiency test which I completed following advice regarding my high levels of ferritin in a previous ultravit test. Although my ferritin levels are still high it would appear that the other markers are all within range.

Low Ferritin

I’ve been feeling dreadful through January and asked for another blood test. Ferritin now 32 but still too low - should be about 100 to feel good.. I contacted dr again who put me on supplements. Has anyone else had this problem?
