Ferritin Levels/Hair Loss/Thyroid
So I was told to have a
ferritin
test
and take vitamin D, I also take B12. Thinking that it would be low hence the hair loss, it is in actual fact completely the opposite, but I can't get the doctor to tell me what this might mean, I was just told, repeat the test in 6 weeks.

Taking Biotin prior to full Blood count
I always stop B complex when I have Advanced Thyroid (via medichecks) my recent
test
shows low
ferritin
and a higher inflammation I wonder if this could be Ulcerative colitis as seems to match symptoms so will go with the screening first as this was offered without my initiation. Many thanks

Had an Iron
Ferritin
test
last year of 103. I am due for a yearly physical with MD on Jan2 and thinking of asking for another iron test. I know y’all are busy with more serious cases but was wondering if you could educate me with your thoughts and opinions. Thank you.

Thanks
I did have the
ferritin
test
every six months for a period before and after the infusions and my latest blood work, including ferritin, was acceptable. It has been a life long effort to balance treatments for my various issues and now it seems age is exacerbating symptoms.

Advice on Iron levels
Serum

Clarification of blood results
Results: Haemoglobin 128g/L Ferritin 70 ug/L TSats 18% Active B12 44pmol/L Folate 3.2 ug/L I had previously had a
ferritin
test
done by medichecks on 5th June (bit of accidental overlapping of tests) but I did note that medichecks ferritin result was 85.9ug/L which is quite a bit higher than today's

Blood work
I recently got my blood tested so I could check for ferritin levels and my
ferritin
was at 329. I had gotten my blood
test
a year ago when I first saw the doctor for RLS but they’d didn't
test
ferritin
levels at that time.

Ferritin Levels
Hello, Recent blood
test
shows
Ferritin
at 118 (30 - 650 ug/L). I'm struggling to understand if that's ok as the range appears to have changed. When it was tested in September 2023 it was 112 but the range was 15-200ug/L. Is the range change significant?

Switched from Methadone at 10 mg to Buprenorphine 10 mcg
Also, I asked the neurologist to
test
the iron and and
Ferritin
levels. The lab served me a Medicare ABN for a cost of $155.23. I could be responsible to pay for it, if Medicare refuses it. I know this test is important. What should I write to the neurologist to ask him what can be done?

foods to eat for longevity
And if a woman is menstruating, I would recommend getting a yearly serum
ferritin
test
because of the importance of iron. And sometimes just the amount of iron is in a multiple vitamin and mineral formula is enough to keep those ferritin levels up. We’ve learned a lot about vitamin D3 lately.

Low ferritin
Opinions please on low
ferritin
. Had a blood
test
last week to rule out CA and my
ferritin
level is 11. Range is 10 - 150. I have several symptoms of iron deficiency and just wondering if it is actually too low. GP states that is still in range. Any thoughts please?

Instant result Ferritin tests
Hi, I am looking to get a
Ferritin
test
done cheaply and I notice that it is now possible to buy home Ferritin tests which look a bit like Covid tests and give you a low/high/normal result (not a number). Has anyone used one of these?

Advice on vitamin results please
I did a Thriva (good system)
test
recently for B12, D,
Ferritin
and Folate. Unfortunately folate not available as blood cells burst but the following are my results. I'm not familiar with how Thriva lay to their results table but they all looked good except possibly B12?
