Just reordered this item which appears to be working very well and the price had jumped, in a month, for 200 x 100g capsules from c.£130 to over £300, has anyone got a reliable supply of the generic version?

can jakafi cause lower sodium, chloride and sugar?anyone have this.?

A routine blood test last week shows my serum sodium is below normal range - normal is 136-145, and mine is 131. The GP has labelled this ‘satisfactory’ so presumably isn’t planning to talk to me about it at all.

Using MyFitnessPal to track my weight and diet has definitely helped me keep an eye on my sodium intake. They say that we shouldn’t have more than 2000mg of sodium per day, but the body only requires circa 500mg per day to maintain balance and electrolytes. Best wishes Jezza

just wondering if any cirrhosis patients suffered from low sodium and high iron levels. Are these levels really bad news for mortality.

I had a shortage of sodium and had two falls. My doctor was not happy about the sodium though. When I came home I found I had been given this but not a word said about it. I found out it was intended to replace my Omeprazole which I had taken on and off for twelve years. So I took it.

hi does anyone have any experience with side effects of low sodium/potassium taking Indaamide ? It would seem that this diuretic can potentially affect potassium and sodium levels which can become low over time. I have had this problem and am to be taken off it.

I have used sodium chloride 3% nebulising solution for some years. However, a while ago I experienced a unusual taste of disinfectant in a number of a few packs. (These come as packs of 20 individual ampoules.)Has anyone else experienced an unusual taste in their sodium chloride when inhaled?

I've found a Medichecks test that includes everything but SHBG (I need this result), Sodium, Potassium & Thyroid Antibodies. Any advice appreciated. Thank you

TSH level- 4.35Serum urea level- 4.9 sodium 139 mmol/L. 29/09/24. TSH. level- 1.74mU/L. T4 level - 15.5 pmoi/L. 20/07/23 TSH level -5.18mu/L

Urea normal range, potassium, sodium all normal. Water sample normal. Only thing out a little is creatine. Flip two yrs had recent blood test creatine 81 umol, urea 4.2 , sodium normal, egfr, 67. Now CKD stage two, how.,? Everything in normal except creatine,!!

He was just as useless with my sodium levels as well. He told me that he couldn’t make any sense of what the original endocrinologist I saw for low sodium had written and had no idea why I had been put on some of the medication I had been put on. I won’t bore you with all the details on that.

With a norm of 136.0-151.0, my sodium is 127 mmol/l, which means that it is below the norm. With a norm of 3.5-5.6 potassium, it is 5.7, which is above the norm. Does anyone here have this? Should I increase my sodium intake?

I had liver transplant in 2016, now suffering from low sodium and need to get a nuclear gastric emptying scan, has anyone had this test and what was the outcome.
