Does anyone have low sodium levels . Just had my latest blood test results and my sodium levels are lower than my test before Christmas. So booked to have it redone on 3rd March . Had problems with low sodium levels for years . Just wondered if anyone had the same problem.

I have low sodium levels but also have water retention which is driving nuts . I can put on 4lb in a day and then it's gone a day or to later. My legs swell I can put up with the pain been in pain my whole life with a rare hereditary neurological condition .

Just reordered this item which appears to be working very well and the price had jumped, in a month, for 200 x 100g capsules from c.£130 to over £300, has anyone got a reliable supply of the generic version?

I have had a blood test done for serum sodium which has come back as 133 mmol/L (133-146), it says acceptable result but my GP has not said anything about it. I have thyroid problems and am wondering if it has anything to do with the thyroid, I know nothing about it myself, any thoughts welcome.

can jakafi cause lower sodium, chloride and sugar?anyone have this.?

It is called Tiromel Sodium and is manufactured in Turkey. Have others had experience of this? How did you get on with it? This will be a huge saving if I can go with this.

I read where propafenone is a sodium channel block and that a sodium channel blocker can effect the smooth muscle. I read where smooth muscle makes up the large intestine as well as the lower esophageal sphincter.

just wondering if any cirrhosis patients suffered from low sodium and high iron levels. Are these levels really bad news for mortality.

Using MyFitnessPal to track my weight and diet has definitely helped me keep an eye on my sodium intake. They say that we shouldn’t have more than 2000mg of sodium per day, but the body only requires circa 500mg per day to maintain balance and electrolytes. Best wishes Jezza

I had a shortage of sodium and had two falls. My doctor was not happy about the sodium though. When I came home I found I had been given this but not a word said about it. I found out it was intended to replace my Omeprazole which I had taken on and off for twelve years. So I took it.

I took carbimazole tablets for approx 5 months last year because my thyroid levels went to T4 26.4 (11-22), T3 11.5 (3.1-6.8) TSH was <0.02 (0.30-4.50), I have had a Serum Sodium blood test which is 133mmol/L (135-146), I am wondering if anyone else has had any experience of this,

A routine blood test last week shows my serum sodium is below normal range - normal is 136-145, and mine is 131. The GP has labelled this ‘satisfactory’ so presumably isn’t planning to talk to me about it at all.

After viewing this video I quickly realised that the drugs they'd switched me onto were not sodium channel blocker meds which carbamazepine is. I asked my consultant to view this video and to put me onto a modern sodium channel blocker which he agreed to do.

Several of you emphasised drinking more water, especially Murder Fan58 re low sodium which I suffer from. Amazing what help this site is.

always feel a bit jittery so thought i Needed to lower dose, which obviousely doesnt work and i feel like I'm taking medication for no good reason (consultant has used the words overstimulated) Have a friend who's been taking meds since he was 7, he's very knowledgable on meds and advised that the sodium

Creatinine 1.74 I control my blood pressure, eat no red meat and limit sodium by avoiding processed foods and reading all sodium labels !

hi does anyone have any experience with side effects of low sodium/potassium taking Indaamide ? It would seem that this diuretic can potentially affect potassium and sodium levels which can become low over time. I have had this problem and am to be taken off it.

I'd be grateful for any input FT 4 15.4 TSH 5.62 Iron 12.7umol/l Serum ferritin 23 ug/l Folate 3.3 ug/l B12 366 ng/l Potassium 3.8 mmol/l Sodium 141 mmol/l Was told everything is normal , also my gp doesn't test vitamin D , hospital dr checked levels August 24 ,it was 32 at that point .
