I'm finding it a little difficult to pick out what information I need from a wall of text. It can be easier to readif you present the numbers as a list.

Is there an FT3 number anywhere?

What dose are you on and for how long before this test?

Did you test as recommended? Fasting, time of test 9am or as close as possible, take Levo after the blood draw that day?

Hi Jaycee 1507. In January I had this result. serum Free T 3 Level 4.3 pmol/L NR 4.2 - 6.9. Also Seeum Vitamin B 12 202 ng/lLmNRb145-914.,aAlsomSerum Vitamin D 31nmol/L NR N/a. Serum Folatev4.28 ug/ L NR 3,00-20.00. serum Ferritin 117.8 ug/ L NR 11.00-307.0. Serum Irn Level 23.6 urology/L 11.0 - 32. My vitamin levels were not done as the do them every 6 months. Sorry it is a jumble. I don’t know how to get it to go one line at a time. I am on 37.5 mg levythyroxine.

You need to press the return key where you want to make a break and start the next line. The results we mainly need to see are just thyroid and vitamin results.

Januarys results are history now as you are on a different dose.

Have you ben able to start any supplements? If so, which ones?

So your FT4 is only at 30% of its range and TSH above 2. To feel well we need our TSH to be at or just under 1. You are ready for the next dose increase.

Hello Jaydee 1507. I am not very good with a computer.

I have just used the return key. It is an arrow and I have never used it but I know what to do now so thanks. Dose increase coming soon. I thank you for your help today.

Test was done as recommended. Started levothyroxine in March 2022.

It is very difficult to read results when they are in a big block like you've put them and it can take a lot of effort to try and separate them and understand them. If you want members to help you then please consider helping them by editing your posts, or reposting your results, and put one test only on one line, eg

TSH: 2.5 (0.27-4.20)

FT4: 15 (12-22)

FT3: 4 (3.1-6.8)

I think you get the idea :)

If you've done a copy/paste job then the reason they've ended up all bunched up is because formatting is lost when pasting into a forum message.

All you have to do is go through your message before you press SUBMIT and press the return key between each result to start a new line.

I am more than happy to interpret results when I am able to but not when results are presented in that way, and I think that will be a problem for quite a few members.

My husband has reminded me SlowDragon read results. FT4 and FT3 too low. Needs to be 60-70%. Mine is 17 and 3%. Sorry for the confusion to you and your colleague.

TSH 0.79. (0.30-4.80 )

FT4: 11.9 pmol/l (Range 7.7 - 20.6)

Ft4 only 32.56% through range

You need next dose increase in Levothyroxine to 50mcg every day

Retest again in 6-8 weeks

most people when adequately treated will have Ft4 at least 60-70% through range

common reasons include vitamin B12 and folate deficiencies.

You already know your B12 and folate are both far too low

This condition can be caused by deficient levels of vitamin B-12 or folic acid in the body

Exactly what vitamin supplements are you now taking

Hello SlowDragon. I have tried the B12 spray and Vitamin D spray but get really bad side effects with both. I know I need both. I am seeing my doctor about pain on my right side which I have had on and off for three years. I think it could be my pancreas or gallbladder. I took betaine hcl to eat salmon and the pain is much worse. Something isn’t working. Doctor said my vitamin d was low but B12 is normal but we know it is not. I am going to ask him about b12 injections. I had my last injection I on February 2020 and then the numbness started in my hands and feet in March when he stopped them. The doctor spoke to haematology and they are just ringing me because they said they are not worried as they think it’s because I am not eating. The doctor is not happy because he wants me to eat gluten for a celiac test. I am seeing an endocrinologist in September. Thank you for your reply. I am going up to 50 levothyroxine in a couple of weeks after being on 37.5 for eight weeks.

Low B12 symptoms

b12deficiency.info/signs-an...

methyl-life.com/blogs/defic...

Make a list of all the symptoms you have

Push hard for B12 injections

if GP still refuses

it’s possible to get B12 to self inject

You could write a new post asking members for information

Which B12 supplement have you tried

Highly effective B12 drops

Perhaps start with just 1 or 2 drops…..then slowly increase

natureprovides.com/products...

Or

B12 sublingual lozenges

The doctor is not happy because he wants me to eat gluten for a celiac test.

Simply refuse

You know you’re gluten intolerant

It’s largely irrelevant wether it’s coeliac or gluten intolerance

Only 5% of Hashimoto’s patients test positive for coeliac

But a further 81% find (by experimenting) that they are gluten intolerant and need to be gluten free

Vitamin D

SeasideSusie has a recommendation of an oil based capsule

She might pop along with information

Are you taking any magnesium supplement ?

Meerkat1234 profile image
Meerkat1234 in reply toSlowDragon

I don’t know what magnesium to take. Could you help me with that please.

SeasideSusie profile image
SeasideSusieRemembering in reply toMeerkat1234

Doctor's Best D3 oil based softgels, nice small softgel, clean supplement with just D3 and extra virgin olive oil.

For magnesium it's not possible for anyone to tell you what's best for you. There are different forms of magnesium with different benefits so you need to check and see which one is most suitable for your own needs. Check out the links:

naturalnews.com/046401_magn...

The following link is included purely to describe the different forms of magnesium, ignore the fact that it mentions calcium is necessary, calcium is only necessary if you test and found to be deficient and then your GP should address that

explore.globalhealing.com/t...

and ignore the fact that this is a supplement company, the information is relevant:

swansonvitamins.com/blog/ar...

Magnesium should be taken 4 hours away from thyroid meds and as it tends to be calming it's best taken in the evening.

Hello Seaside Susie. Sorry for stressing you out today. I now know how to go to next line😂. Thanks for all the information. I will look into it all.

SlowDragon profile image
SlowDragonAdministrator in reply toMeerkat1234

ALL magnesium supplements should be at least 4 hours away from levothyroxine

Best taken afternoon or bedtime as calming and relaxing

If you suffer constipation

Calm vitality magnesium powder is good one to try

Starting with just half a teaspoon in small glass water. Can increase over next few weeks. Max is 2 teaspoons per day. Taking too much can cause diarrhoea

uk.iherb.com/pr/natural-vit...

Alternative option

uk.iherb.com/pr/thorne-magn...

Empty capsule into cup …..dissolve in water and drink

Vitamin D and magnesium work together.
