Hyperthyroid - What else is there to do?
I’m a female, 33 years old, married, no kids. I discovered I had hyperthyroidism about 3 months ago. I’d gone in for an obgyn appt because I missed a period in March and then had a very light period in April. We were hoping to start getting pregnant. The doctor did a blood test that showed it was a problem

Post Ivor Lewis Mucus
Hi, I’m really hoping someone can help me find a solution to the excessive mucus that causes coughing and then retching it up every time my husband moves around. He’s 5 weeks post Ivor Lewis...which followed 28 radiation treatments & 7 carbon platin infusions. Surgeon says everything looks great on chest

Allergic Reaction?
Okay so I went to the er a few mins ago for my tight throat, it feels tight like I can't eat or anything without almost vomiting or losing breath, so the doctor tells me I am having an allergic reaction to a medication I have taken before and it never did anything. She prescribed me prednisone and Zyrtec

Update on my Anxiety
Update on my health: I have no idea what is real and what is just "anxiety." I have had a cough for almost a month now (started right after I got a flu shot) that sometimes coughs up a lot of choking mucus and other time just hurts my entire upper body (head, throat, and chest) with a sore, itchy throat

A New Way
Looking for new ways to be active?! A person who ran, hiked, and biked many miles! No more running but frequent walks- I am looking for a handle or a new idea for my dogs leash as it is hard on my hands, wrists and shoulders. Leaving Toby at home is not an option! I can still bike and boyfriend made

Mouth/throat problems.
I'm not so sure where is a better place to post this, so forgive me. Honestly, I'm stumped. Last month, I developed a sort of lump feeling in my throat. It wasn't in my esohougus, but in the back of my throat where it just starts to go down, if that makes any sense. After developing it, I developed severe

Terrified of medication
So I was out today because the weather was finally nice and everything went well but I have seasonal allergies. I was prescribed cetirizine HCI (zyrtec) a couple of days ago along with some other light meds. I just took it maybe 5 minutes ago and I'm freaking out thinking what if I have some weird reaction

Fatigue
This has recently become a problem for me. I have had PV for seven years now and am 74 so feel lucky to be alive, and enjoying life. I walk regularly but am often breathless and struggle with uphill walking now. Not sure if it is winter related. I am also having to cope with more itching, (definitely

Anti histamines cause water retention?
I have been on
zirtek
and before that triludan for 30 years for itchy skin. I thought anti histamines cause swelling and worsen itching but every Doctor I ask disagrees. I am particularly worried because the Doctor wants to treat my condition with amtriptyline but there are contraindications.

Red, Itching Outer Ears?
It's been awhile since I've posted. Over the past week I have developed itchy, warm ears but just the cartilage..not inside. I'm not sure if it's allergy, infection, or ET related? The skin looks scaley and dry too. I took some Zyrtec ( antihistamine) and it helps a little. Has anyone experienced this

Anti-Allergy tablets
On all the labels except Piriteze and
Zirtek
it says do not take during pregnancy, and on those other two it says to seek GP advice. I am seeing the GP next week to clarify, but does anyone know if there are any safe ones people are aware of? Thanks, xxx

Hives? Cellulitis?
I had a very bad case of cellulitis in both calves two weeks ago. After finally getting the right combo of antibiotics from my primary care doc (the ER prescribed something that was ineffective), it went away. On Thursday I noticed a few red welts on both calves, very itchy and sore to the touch (firm
