My neurosurgeon wants me to take Elavil for pain. He said he would start me on 10 mg and then increase jut to 25 mg if needed. Is there a
less chance of getting side effect from Elavil with this low dose?

I've had Fibro for 20 years now, and coped with it as best I could, worked until a few years ago when everything just hit the fan and I couldn't cope any more and was always ill. Since then I've been on IB and now ESA and receive DLA, and I liked to think I was coping pretty well. Lately I've realised

I've been waiting since December for a psychotherapy appointment and just got a letter to say I should hear in the next 18 weeks!!! It's just got too much so I've been at the GP this morning all weepy. I can't sleep and now that I'm back working being so tired is stressing me out. I think too much so

Has anyone tried trihexyphenidyl, procyclidine or orphenadrine ? If so any help?
Dad has had some benefit from the hyoscine patches in terms of improving movement and speech at first, but now they just help with swallow mainly. The patch gives too much of a rash so we may give one of these a try, just thought I'd see if anyone else had tried? It is for Parkinson's really.

Hello all! I am new to this site but I wondered if I could have your help, its regarding Occupational Therapy for Ataxia?
Hello, I am a 2nd year student of Occupational Therapy at University. My older brother has Friedreich's Ataxia and just wanted to live as independently as possible, which inspired my career choice. I am presenting in front of the University Lectures about Ataxia, however relating to Occupational Therapy

How do I ask for a review from wrag to support group, and how can you know if you should be in support group? What are the requirements?
I have major depression bpd, bipolar, hypertension fibro, herniated discs L4/5 bladder prolapse and thoracic spine wear and tear etc can anyone explain how I would get a review on esa from wrag to support group. If my health probs don't qualify that's fine. Merry Christmas to all

Does anyone have Post Hydrotherapy Flare up ?
I had some hydrotherapy on Friday, immediately after I began feeling unwell and weak and just made it to sit in the car. As the hours progressed I began having pains in my lower back and waist, legs and arms. Previous hydro sessions left me out of energy for days. I don't know what to make of it. I do

Winter Fuel Allowance petition.
Hi thanks for getting the momentum going to everybody who has signed the petition below. Please encourage others to sign. It is helping raise awareness of Raynaud's and Scleroderma at least which is just perfect. http://you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/winter-fuel-allowance-for-the-disabled-and-vunerable

Was tested positive for Romberg's at Royal Free last month.
I have been feeling unsteady on my feet for over a year and was finally given the Romberg's test which proved positive. MRI on 7 December. Have searched the web for the causes and am dreading that the cerabellum (?) is being affected by Scleroderma. Mine is ss. Does anybody know of an incidence

Bronchiectasis and innoculation for HIB /meningitis??!!
Hi all Have recently seen a consultant who suggested I have a vaccination against the HIB bacteria (which coincidentally comes combined with the added bonus(?!) of the meningitis vaccine) as I seem to be very susceptible to HIB. Has anyone else had this and, if so, did it work/did you have a reaction

After a pleurectomy about 7 years ago, I still experience pain in my lung, ribs and surrounding skin(nerve damage) I was very poorly after the op and took months to recover, I found it traumatising and it was the onset of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.. Anyone else been through this op?
