Constantly freezing cold
My mum diagnosed 12 months ago with CBD..she is constantly freezing cold..heating on full blast in the house and an electric fire beside her...her right "alien" hand is like ice block and blue in colour...she wears a warm glove in doors and a padded jacket...is this all normal for CBD

EGPA/CSS with Thymoma
HI all, One of my early CTs soon after diagnosis of EGPA/Churg-Strauss Syndrome was of the chest, to look at lungs, as I also had breathing problems (asthma, pneumonia). The radiologist report included a finding of a mediastinal mass - it appeared to be encapsulated and wrapped around my thymus. Thymoma

Didn’t get 100% success at last night’s London forum although to be fair my Where’s Wally shirt was hidden under my coat for some of the time and I do look scary! Nice to meet Alison, Paivi, Susana, Melanie, Ala and Katherine (again!) as well as catch up with Pauline B who has been an MF-er for several

CBD
Sadly my wife was diagnosed with CBD few months ago. My wife & I attended the family & friends conference in Windsor. At this meeting there were 4 people with CBD. I spoke a male who had CBD at the break from Thornton in Somerset, at the time I didn't think to ask him his name or details, now I would

IBS
I've suffered from IBS diarrhea since I was 12 years old and have seen at least 10 specialists, I'm 55 now, all saying the same thing. Don't know what it is. But not before they all ran the same test, Barrium enumums small bowel biopsies, barium swallow, and of course the tube up my ass!. It wasn't

Improving survival rates
Hi all, I had Ivor Lewis in June due to adenocarcinoma at lower junction. I went to go in September 2017 after problems swallowing certain food. This progressively became worse to the point I could only manage clear soup that was passed through blender and sieved . After several visits to go and hospital

Spirometer Results
I am not sure how to read the results, but I am thinking it goes like this. Any concerns I should have with these numbers? Still have symptoms but they look good besides the airway resitent nuber at 66. Thanks for any feedback I have zero idea how to read these. FVC 5.75/5.70 99% FEV1 4.70/4.53 96%

Not sure how to feel!
15 months ago I was rejected by Papworth for a lung transplant as they said my oesophagus was too damaged and I wouldn’t survive the operation!!! Obviously, this initially felt like a death sentence as I felt that was it. Although the thought of going through a lung transplant scares the **** out of

Aimovig
I wanted to let people know about the success I've had after my first Aimovig injection. I self injected on September 19 (my first of two free samples). I've only taken three Amerge (for migraine) since. The first two Amerge were during the first four days after the shot, but they say it takes 6 days

Can x-rays from barium swallow test affect thyroid?
I have been suffering from acid reflux after suddenly getting a goiter (goitre) after taking iodine. (Big mistake taking iodine!) My subsequent blood panel showed low level hashimoto's and subclinical hypothyroid (with ultrasound indicating several nodules which have now shrunk along with the goiter

Urinary Incontinence
Questions for my forum friends: Seems like this has come on fast. It started with a little dribbling on the way to the toilet, like he waited too long to go, then couldn't hold it. Then there were a few messy days, where he just missed the toilet. We got a riser seat so he could sit down, and that helps

Adrift in a sea of confusion
Hello, everybody, and thank you for all the information I've gotten from this forum. Just last week I saw my pulmonologist and told her that I was feeling poorly. I mean, really poorly. She had diagnosed me with emphysema/asthma. She did a breathing test and said I was the same I was in February -- FEV1

Chronic Pain Course Week 2
Another enjoyable useful course this week. It has come from Stanford University so is used in America and Canada and well as the UK. I think I’m finding it useful too cause I was only diagnosed 4 months ago so this is the first help I’ve had (apart from on here and own research). This week we learnt

Help with MMA and Cysteine test results
I've posted a couple of times and I'm trying to make sense of what's going on. Total B12 was in the 'normal range' when I was tested earlier in the year but I was fortunate in that the neurologist ordered an MMA test back at the beginning of May, again in June and then July. The July test result has
