low pancreatic elastase
hello, I was recently admitted to hospital for severe
weight
loss
due to my ongoing gastrointestinal issues. I have been tested for everything but oddly a liquid stool test showed pancreatic elastase levels at <15 which is very low.

Multiple short courses of steroids for cough
I am very aware of the wealth of online information available about medium and long-term pred/oral steroids (
weight
gain,
loss
of bone density, adrenal suppression etc). Thankfully we've seen no signs of this (yet).

Fibrosis 15.8 kPa - Appetite and Weight Loss
His symptoms are appetite
loss
which has resulted in severe
weight
loss
(muscle wasting etc) and also his short term memory is not great. That could also be his age (he is 78) or the residual affects of methotrexate in his body. He is reasonably active and goes for 2km walks most days.

Hashimoto's
I wondered if I would dip into hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism or was the
weight
loss
initially a one-off with my body getting used to the medication? Would love to lose the weight again.

Recent
weight

and digestive issues with raised GGT caused GP to consider liver or ovarian cancer ( strange mix I thought). Omeprazole prescribed these last 3 months, now weaning to avoid rebound acid. Gastroscopy found nothing, colonoscopy pending.
