"Many people may be suffering from an undiagnosed and misunderstood bowel condition, according to the charity Guts UK.

Microscopic colitis is an inflammation of the large bowel and causes frequent watery diarrhoea, stomach pain, faecal incontinence, fatigue and weight loss.

About 17,000 people are diagnosed each year in the UK, but experts say the real number is likely to be higher.

Some standard tests for inflammatory bowel conditions do not spot it.

But despite misdiagnoses, cases have risen in the UK in recent years."

I am sure our diet is not helping. They are adding things to our food to make it last longer and grow quicker. Takeaways are popping up all over town while other shops are closing. I try and be good but the trouble is the bad food tastes so good, even though you know it may affect your IBS.

Yes people need to be eating more fiber. Fiber cleans out the digestive tract.

It depends on the underlying cause of our intestinal disorder if we should eat more or less fibres. In my situation eating fibres makes my gastrointestinal disorder much worse unfortunately as does eating dietary fats.
