I had my heart valve replaced with a mechanical one a couple of years ago (completely unrelated to weight, was a random infection on the valve) and I was wondering if anyone has had stuff done to their heart and has gone on to also have either

reduced T3 and weight gain
I was advised by people on this forum to reduce my T3 slightly and I feel better on the lsightly reduced dose. I have more energy. less need to sleep in the day. The problem is I am getting sudden weight gains. I gained four pound yesterday. i have lost about 9 stone on my previous dose using intermittant

Weight Gain
So, there are lots of posts about weight issues and here's another one. I've been on 125mcg Levo since 2013 and feel fine. No problems with sleep, energy etc and no problems with weight until a year or so ago when it became impossible to get the same brand of Levo consistently and sometimes impossible

Smart Protein and amino acids
I have had an under active thyroid for many years, I’ve recently learns about T4 and T3 tests. All mine have come back as “normal”. I have read about amino acids which can help you, I eat healthy, exercise 3 times a week and I’m no spring chicken. I never loose weight and when attending medial appointments

I was on 2.5 mg of prednisone for 2 years. I have now tapered successfully to zero. Is it normal to drop weight when off,?

Annual Humiliation:
I know there are notes in my chart that my nephrologist has put in about my diet and previous
weight
loss
and how I work with newly diagnosed CKD patients. I talked about plant based and all the work I have done in Renal nutrition. We talked about bariatric surgery and she is against it.
