B12 - shots v pills
Hi Please could someone confirm the benefits of a B12 injection v taking a supplement? Are we just talking about larger doses and / or ability to avoid the stomach and increase absorption? Is availability of B12 injection really restricted on the NHS? If I decide to go down the chemist route, do

b12 keeps dropping ferritin
Hi Friends, Has anyone had success raising and maintaining ferritin after it dropped from b12 injections? I first caught the iron issue in October, after shots all last summer. I tried many supplements until landing on the least bad offender to my stomach. I got my ferritin to 33, but it dropped

Hi everyone, After being underdosed on 25mcg of Levothyroxine for almost a decade, my new GP increased my dose to 50mcg around 6 months ago. The increase was done slowly over 6 weeks, as advised by people in this group. I had some blood tests done two days ago and today I got a message from the GP saying

B12 is a cofactor to the energy I get from the sun.
This is from 68 years of experience and observation 3 of them under supplementing B12. It is assumed that diet is the reason that those in the mediterranean climate may live longer. Pseudo Science that pays well.

A victory with my NHS GP! 🥳
I just wanted to share my joy that I've won my battle with my local surgery to get my EOD B12 injections on NHS prescription! After complaining in a persistent and factual manner about their handling of my health issues, I asked for them to provide injectable B12 over a pill that my stomach can't absorb

Yet another mess...
I am coming to the end of my B12 pills and being on the lower pension and every penny counts, wondered if I needed to reorder. So I phoned the surgery to request a blood test, and was told the GP would phone me back. So far, so good. A GP phoned, introduced herself as the new GP at the surgery. I

Food as medicine recommendations
I am educating myself via all the posts (thank you to all the regular posters). Is there a summary anywhere or a recommended book of how to ensure you are making the most of what you eat / don’t eat? For example, I just read that I need to eat steak and chips (great news) to help support optimal ferritin
