Genuine question ‘Declined’ by a company

My posting on their Facebook page after having send the question by email first and not receiving the right answer.

Declined by…..

[Bioactive vitamin B12 drops - High dosed, 500 mcg B12 in 3 … I mailed you about the proportions of the 3 active forms you mention on the label . You replied that you don’t have that information?! Isn't your product made somewhere [you don't tell me exactly where when I ask] in a laboratory in Germany?! Or is it just a product made in Asia by a laboratory there and on which you can stick your own label/story? For me it is very important to have this information. With my diagnosis…I want to try these drops to remedy my dips in energy. I just want to know exactly what I am going to take into my body. I don't think it's a strange question to ask.

And again;

Why is my post still pending? I just asked an ordinary question about the ratio of your B12 product. I find it unbelievable that you cannot give me an answer on my question about this, especially as you tell us it’s your own product and it is manufactured in a German laboratory. That laboratory is not at the address you state on your website, that address is for administration only, you withheld the actual address of your German laboratory so I can not verify that the product is made in Germany. I don’t want to stir up trouble only to clear up mis( sing)information.

I find this sort of thing happening on a lot of Webshop’s . Selling their product.. I.e a product they bought, which then has their label on it, they have no clear idea about the product they sell on their webshop. It’s a dangerous business and in my opinion not right. A lot of customers take their word for it and many may get unwell and not realise why.

Hi Acritical,

If you click and roll over the images on Amazon, all the information regarding Adenosylcobalamin, methylcobalamin and Hydroxycobalamin should be there. In mcg or ug then a percentage of how much of the Recommended Daily Amount.

Most people with PA/B12D find that oral supplementing does not help them in the slightest. There are the exceptions, of course. It is understanding the size of the molecules being able to pass through the mucus membranes under the tongue or mouth. Or on entering the stomach, how the molecular size can impede absorption there.

Please know that it is not fraud nor anywhere near it. It is a very serious allegation to make on a public website. I highly recommend that you update your post accordingly.

Kind regards

After trying to delete which somehow I couldn’t, I have made adjustments, hopefully it’s more acceptable this way.

Hi Narwhal10,

"Most people with PA/B12D find that oral supplementing does not help them in the slightest."

Can you point me to any studies to back this up? I can only find studies that say the opposite. Should it be, maybe, "Some people..."

It’s called anecdotal evidence. Please understand how research is produced. I, once had a delightful conversation with a person who’s whatever undertook some research in a laboratory. Just prior to publication they were offered a million pounds not to. They took the money.

Researchers run out of time and run out of budget. Plus, there is always one factor that an author comments about in their write up; bias. I do apologise to ACritical for commandeering their post. So, if a person has PA then absorption via oral supplementation is extremely difficult. The route into the body is by-passing the system. So, it is knowing some anatomy and physiology which is any clinician’s bread and butter.

However, to obtain a diagnosis of PA is extremely challenging especially in the current climate. So, I use ‘PA/B12D’ to cover all bases. I am extremely analytical of research especially the mathematics of it. So, the research in this area has been measuring serum or plasma levels in ng/L or pg/ml before and after. They are not measuring the proper values such as a person’s :-

1) Capability to run up a flight of stairs.

2) Live without any pain.

3) Can get through a whole day without not taking a nap.

You just have to be able to talk and actively listen to people to know the truth. There was a big Hoo-ha in 2020, people who were on regular hydroxycobalamin injections had them stopped and were switched to tablets. They became very sick and it took quite sometime to get their essential medication reinstated. At what cost ?

😉

Is this the product?

amazon.nl/Bioactieve-vitami...

I don't see the exact percentage of the individual forms either, something that is provided for example by Sunday Natural (I swear I'm not on their payroll).

To be charitable, maybe their supplier doesn't provide this info?

Charitable , I would be. I asked in a mail and they told me they didn’t Have the information. So that I found strange if the product is their own and ‘ made’ in Germany . So to attract people like me wanting products made in clean laboratories in Europe.

Bear in mind that even if the specific B12 product this company sells is their own formulation, most of the actual B12 manufacturing happens in China. My translation may be poor but they seem to claim that they "manufacture" their own B12 in small batches but it is not clear whether they actually mean formulating their B12 product from the B12 of their supplier, as generally, B12 production is a very complex and expensive operation which requires very large upfront capital costs for any return on investment.

There is another B12 manufacturing plant in France, but according to this article it is the only one outside Asia in 2023.

frenchhealthcare.com/euroap...

What I was getting at was that maybe their supplier (from China or France), does not provide the exact detail of the percentage of each B12 type in the 500mcg - it might be assumed that its an equal percentage of all three but that could be wrong. I did check the Amazon page carefully and the product packaging and the % of each is definitely not shown.

So they might be unable to provide you this information because they literally do not have that information from their supplier.

If they produced their own B12 (which, is highly unlikely I think) it would be fairly easy to tell you what percentages of each are in the formulation. Which makes me suspect that they do not and when they refer to "manufacturing" they dont mean the actual production of B12 but the formulation of their product FROM B12 that has been supplied by a Chinese or French manufacturer.

I just read the information from the French health care link you mentioned in your answer. Very promising, B12 forms being made in laboratories in Europe! Thank you very much for going out of your way to answer my post, which I have tidied up a bit, as somehow I couldn’t delete. It’s probably my Dutch genes that make me more direct in commenting on and asking about… Like Narwal warned me , could actually get me into trouble.

I have tried taken the post down. 😞 It hasn’t worked?! As I said on their facebook page I didn’t post to cause trouble, just didn’t get anywhere asking for the information. They just declined the posts there. I will have a look on Amazon as apparently the info is on there. That would be very helpful. Thank you both for responding.
