Advice on latest test results
Hi, I got diagnosed with underactive thyroid in September 2023. I was put on 50g of Levothyroxine and iron tablets as I had low ferritin and anemic. My latest results show I'm no longer anemic but my ferritin is still relativity low despite having been on iron tablets for 2 months. Dr seems to be

Help...At my wits end
Hi I apologise if I posting this in the wrong place. I have not been diagnosed with hypothyroid. My Dr and myself thought that may have been the problem due to my many problems! I had a borderline result 18 months ago TSH was 1.05 and T4 10.4 but that is now normal: TSH 1.76 and T4 12.7. I am feeling

Help with latest Blood Test
Hello, I’m hoping someone can give some advice on latest blood test please. I am on 100mgs Levothyroxine. I did trial T3 but didn’t notice much difference by taking T3really. Im not sure if this is because I wasn’t on a high enough dose of L4 at the start of trialing it. I have taken the D1o2 test

Interaction of Statins with other medicine
Just looking for some guidance - is there any known interaction between statins and other medicine that one needs to be aware of? I am mostly interested in the usual stuff like antibiotics or vitamins, or stuff you usually get at the pharamacy for when you are under weather for minor conditions. Given

Thyroid test result / menopause help.
I've been feeling averagely rubbish for the last 18 months or so; zero energy, low mood, irritable, tearful, unable to focus, steadily gaining weight, dry, thinning hair, dry skin - the list goes on.I requested a blood test a year ago, and mentioned at the time that I wondered if my symptoms were thyroid

Vitamins for PD
Hey all! Just wondering, what general “vitamin pill“ do you recommend for PD? From time to time, I see people talking about Hardy. Wondering if there’s something particularly special about that one? I personally have been using raw one by vitamin code… Any thoughts on this topic? Thanks :-)

Switching from Levothyroxine to Liothyronine
Hello, I hope everyone is well. I haven’t written on here for a while as I’ve been feeling quite well so hope you don’t mind me coming back to you now. Although I feel good on my current dose of thyroxine and definitely don’t feel I’m taking too much, my endocrinologist wants to lower my thyroxine

Multi vitamins - at last some recognition
Hi everyone, I was pleased to see this today - as so many 'authorities' have repeatedly put down the use of multi vitamins as being a waste of money - here is a quite extensive study showing the opposite. I used to see a very highly acclaimed consultant who said exactly the same to me and would test

Enlarged Red Blood Cells
Has anyone had trouble with enlarged red blood cells please? My GP called and said my blood cells are significantly enlarged but that my folate, b12, thyroid, and liver function were all ok. I drink very, very little. She doesn't want to do more tests but I am a little worried. Has anyone else experienced

For anyone who is on T3 only... When did you realise you needed it?
Hi everyone. I've been on a real journey since January with Hashimoto's. I started on levothyroxine and it made me feel a lot worse. I started seeing a private thyroid doctor who looked at my bloods and saw my T3 had dropped on levo, and with my symptoms she decided levo was not right for me and put

Adrenal/Cortisol issues- help please
So it's recently been bought to my attention that my struggles to tolerate any t4 t3 medication could be down to low cortisol or adrenal issues, is this common? I'm starting to question if adrenal issues are actually my main problem? I was diagnosed 'subclinical hypo' last year and have been on varying

Don’t give up fighting
After many years of battling with various GPs and HCAs , same as far too many people on here, I’ve made another breakthrough!! Following a referral letter from Dr K and a covering letter from us I had a call from my GP today. He had read and digested the letters and has not only agreed to prescribe

Possible new blood test marker for PMR?
I have just checked out my results from a recent blood test, the first time I've done this via my GP website instead of by phone call. All normal with CRP etc, except for 'red blood cell distribution width', (RDW) which I now see was slightly higher than normal in previous tests too. (I should add that
