Hypothyroidism - teste results
Hi, can I run these few test results past the community, please? I went to have my first post-diagnosis blood tests at the end of June (about seven weeks post-diagnosis) and followed all the info on here about not taking the levo less than 24 hours before, also not taking the B12 supplements for a couple

anyone got experience of private Drs or this reaction to dropping meds?
TO UPDATE, I HAVE BEEN IN TOUCH WITH AN ENDO FROM THE LIST AND AS MY ENDO ALREADY PRESCRIBES T3 ONLY THERAPY FOR ME (long story) HE MADE IT CLEAR THAT I WAS ALREADY GETTING THE BEST I PROBABLY COULD OUT OF AN NHS GP. SO NO NEED TO PAY PRIVATELY. Depressing to know no more nuanced help from anyone, but

Blood result and raised MCV
Hi everyone. I had a recent blood test as I've been supplementing with gentle iron, general A-Z vits and B12 since the spring. I particularly wanted to check up on my iron/ferritin status. I've never had a positive diagnosis of PA, or even of B12 deficiency as my levels have always been 'in range'.

Vitamin D loading dose issue
Hi all, I was prescribed 50,000 iu Vitamin D3 (SunVit brand) to take weekly for 6 weeks. I took my first dose on Tuesday last week, since then I’ve been experiencing quite severe tension headaches, dizzy spells, tummy issues and anxiety. The headaches were unbearable and from the moment I woke up

Weight loss due to Progynova?
I feel like it never rains but pours atm! I discovered today I have lost 1.5kg in the last month. Obviously will be making an appt with the doctor tomorrow. Weight loss is listed as a side effect of Progynova but just wondering how often it happens and to what degree; gain seems more common. Has anyone

'Malabsorption' - what do doctors mean exactly?
Hello, When reading about causes of deficiences such as iron, folate, B12 etc. the medical information (from whichever source) lists the causes and malabsorption is always one of them. To me this seems vague compared to the other causes: eg. in the[i] Guidance for Primary Care on the Interpretation

blood test results
I have been taking 2 grains a day and haven’t been feeling fatigued so I am happy on this dose. My only concern is that my vitamin levels have gone down and my TPOAb antibodies have gone up since my last blood test. I’m taking the same supplements and don’t think I’ve been doing anything differently

What vitamin gummies are we using?
I keep reading about zinc, omega 3 and magnesium. Does anyone have recommendations on gummy vitamins they use for ADHD that are helping? My daughter is 7. Thanks!

First BMD in 8 years
I got a BMD and have been considering echolyte in the year ahead to inform my numbers with more information. I wonder what some of your concerns for me might be as I debate medication or no medication. I am an active 68 year old woman. I walked 920 miles in 8 weeks in a wellness competition. I am

More b12 injections
I'm currently on loading dose 5 out of 6. The doctor said to have 6 loading doses followed by one every 12 weeks. I'm feeling worse from the loading doses what happens if the doctor won't give me more so I have the injection every 2 days rather than wait the 12 weeks each time? I can't afford to buy
