Where can I get a blood test for 15 year old please 🙏
Hello ☺️ I have Hashimotos myself and I would like to get my daughter tested also plus her key vitamins as her periods are heavy at the moment and lasting 7 days so her iron could be low . I could try GP but doubt they will check everything ! Many thanks , Kelly 💝

Adrenal/Cortisol issues- help please
So it's recently been bought to my attention that my struggles to tolerate any t4 t3 medication could be down to low cortisol or adrenal issues, is this common? I'm starting to question if adrenal issues are actually my main problem? I was diagnosed 'subclinical hypo' last year and have been on varying

Recent blood results 😳
Hi all, I would really appreciate your views on my blood results- bloods taken how we are advised on here to follow. Endo has advised to reduce Levo to 100mcg & reduce Liothyrine to 10mcg - I can’t understand how I’m feeling worse again (never been optimal) In all honesty I feel like stopping all meds

Strange request from GP
Hi all. Has anyone ever had an unexpected, unprompted text from their GP with a link to complete a depression/anxiety questionnaire? I’ve received two such texts since my recent visits to GP and A&E. I have some but not all blood results from GP. B12 217ng/L (145-910) Folate 6.2ug/L (3.0-20.0) Ferritin

'Malabsorption' - what do doctors mean exactly?
Hello, When reading about causes of deficiences such as iron, folate, B12 etc. the medical information (from whichever source) lists the causes and malabsorption is always one of them. To me this seems vague compared to the other causes: eg. in the[i] Guidance for Primary Care on the Interpretation

Blood test results
I have felt very tired, have a sore throat, sinus pain (diffuse pressure) and headhaches since June (with fatigue) - I struggled to go to work some days. I have hypothyroidism for the past 27 years, with few symptoms. My TSH is normally 1 but end of `june it was 5.36. My GP increase my Levothyroxine

Annual transplant program appointment
Yesterday was my annual transplant program check-in. Here are some highlights for those who may be curious what that entails. First up, unfortunately, is the weight and height check. This is one of the two the most dreaded moments for me. I wore the lightest clothes I could find. I've threatened

Help with introduction of T3 please…..
Good morning, I would truly love some guidance on how best to introduce T3. My private endo has now prescribed T3 to commence with 5mcg twice a day. He would like me to drop my levo from 100 to 75 at the same time. I am trialing T3 due to poor conversion and all the usual symptoms which accompany

Latest endo appointment. Will not increase T3 as TSH now low!!!!!
About 6 weeks ago, because of a change in make of liothyronine I made a mistake and instead of taking 2 x 10mcg tablets, I took 2 x 20mcg.When I realised, I anticipated the worst. However, I was fine, in fact more than fine. My prescribed dose was 30mcg daily. But, I started to take 20mcg twice daily

MCV and supplement question
Hi all, I'm hypothyroid and frequently have MCV and MCH outside of range. In general I feel better supplementing with methyl Bs and have added folate. I want to ask though if there is anything concerning and how to address these results. Is my ferritin ok or are there additional tests to run? Thank

Interested in your thoughts
Hi, Would like to know your thoughts on the following: 2 or 3 years or so ago for me pharmacists put on my levothyroxine scripts take 30 to 60 minutes before breakfast or any medication, but prior to this for 29 years I had been taking everything with it be it medication, food, caffeine, vitamins
