Iodine and Selenium
Recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism..but not prescribed any meds as total result still seems to function...I have done some research and have seen that this disease can be because of a lack of iodine and selenium..at the time my b12 was low, but now ok with me buying b12 drops..methylcobalamin..has

Do I need an iron supplement?
RBC and MCHC blood results - why, even though my levels are below the lowest end of acceptable range, is it saying “normal for this patient - no action required” ( diagnosed with PA 21 years ago, then aged 38). I have increasingly debilitating fatigue - 3-monthly B12 injections don’t seem to be helping

I have talked to two people about alcohol use and they both had a physician tell them that they typically increase the amount a paticient reports to 2 to 4 times the amount reported because people lie about their alcohol intake. This also happened to me my liver function was low and I was told that

Tiredness and Relaxation after taking B12 - what are your reactions to it?
I have just tested taking some b12 as sublingual 2mg, and I noticed a feeling of comfortable tiredness and relaxation, like my body took a little sigh of relief and relaxed a bit. I am really interested to hear what other people feel in response to taking B12 by any method, especially right away - do

Dont give up !
For everyone that has followed me there seems to be a happy ending. Following 21 yrs of various dopamine agonists for chronic Rls I realised that augmentation was off the scale. Consultant poo pooed that theory and upped my dose again to 6mgs. Yes it helped albeit for a short time. I went on holiday

Thyroid meds affecting sex hormones
Hi, I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid earlier this year. I am currently taking 25mg T4 (50mg caused significant bloating) and 30mg T3 as split doses. I'm on a high dose of adrenal support as my Cortisol & DHEA were shown to be very low in a Dutch test earlier this year. Since starting T3

Anyone's GP prepared to communicate with mine who won't concede I need B12 despite having all of the symptoms of deficiency for years?
Worsening peripheral neuropathy has spurred me on to get the B1 def acknowledged by my GP. I have been SI since after Covid when the GP was giving me once in three months injections and another stopped them....grrrr. He asked me to find someone he could talk to who has similar patients. He has tested

Hi, can anyone offer any ideas as to why ferritin has jumped from 37(mid-June) to 85.4 this wk aside from infection please?
Hi Wonder if I can pick your brains again please? My ferritin was 48 prior to loading dose March/April, then lowered to 37 which I understand is normal thing to happen on the 8wk check. I’ve just completed a yearly pinprick test(I know maybe not as reliable, but sale on &needs must!) and ferritin has

Too much b12 please help?
Hi everyone, I'm reaching out for some guidance and advice. I've recently experienced tingling and muscle aches and neck and leg tingling , and I'm concerned it might be due to having too much B12 in my system. I had a blood test three weeks after my last B12 injection, and the results showed levels

Kirklees - switch from GP to Locala for injections.
Kirklees health authorities have recently (1/7/24) switched from B12 being delivered by local GP practices to Locala (our local community health service that provides a variety of health services eg health visitors, speech therapy etc). I’m 10 days away from my injection time, still waiting to hear

B12 SI Orders from Hot Germany? :-(
I have been waiting for a break in the Germany weather to re-order my Hydroxy. I believe it needs to be kept at below 25c - and i worry that temperature in transport will be higher? Anybody know of places that package to guard against this risk? Or...is it just a "you take your chances" thing

Sublingual B12?
Was wondering if anyone can tell me if sublingual B12 could be used as an alternative to injecting? I assume the b12 would be absorbed into the bloodstream via the mucous membranes in the mouth. It seems B12 in this form can be easily purchased from UK suppliers so I was thinking could be much easier

I wrote a book about my experiences with B12
Hi, I just want to say thanks to this forum - it saved my life a few years ago when I knew my body was shutting down yet the GP's were telling me everything was normal and I 'just had ME live with it'. Writing helped me, when I was well enough, and my story is now out for pre-order. I write about how
