New rules at GP surgery
My lovely GP retired a year ago and has not been replaced, and pressures on the Health Centre have led to the inevitable! I showed up a couple of weeks ago for my two monthly B12 jab only to be told that my levels needed to be tested and a review of B12 required. I had been supplementing with sublingual

Just another notch in the “how crazy is B12” totem pole. I just got back from an optometrist appt which I had booked because, after updating my prescription in May, I now cannot wear these new glasses (one for reading and one for long distance/driving). The new lenses were giving me vertigo, nausea

switching/alternating Hydroxocobalamin and cyanocobalamin?
excuse my ignorance but I thought I’d check with those that know before I blindly go doing something silly. I was reading the NHS B12 pages and saw they only offer hydroxcobalamin and they suggest this lasts longer. So I’ve ordered some Pascoe to try. I have stock of cyanocobalamin and use that twice

I GAVE UP.
I will try and be short about my story. It is a snapshot of events whilst I was on Levothyroxine for more or less 25 yrs. I never felt well and was never referred to an endocrinologist. I gained weight, my hair thinned. I had problems not only with my voice, but swallowing food. I had brain fog, acute

VITAMIN
B12
>2000 H range: 200-1100 pg/mL I took Pure Encapsulations B Complex Plus one cap am and pm, from 2015 when I started to work with a functional medicine doc, until perhaps a year ago when I realized that the form of Vitamin 6 could be damaging.

Follow-up with haematologist
I saw my (private) haematologist last night and confessed my B12 EOD habit. It took him several minutes to come down off the ceiling and have a proper discussion with me as I made my argument: that, if I'd followed the NICE protocol I wouldn't be where I am today (mostly functioning well), I wouldn't

Doctors.... blood tests..... need I say more??
I have Hashis, Addisons and a slew of other things.... my old consultant (private not NHS) often called me a modern medical mystery! I have Addisons (PAI) but about 2 years after my diagnosis I had to have steroid injections in my spine- caused my BP to rise to dangerous levels and it's never come down

Intrinsic Factor Negative
I’ve been feeling grotty for a couple of years and have thyroid antibodies. Started on levothyroxine and liothyronine, happy with levels just taken. Symptoms that continue to bother me: Headaches & headpains Sore mouth, tongue swollen Poor balance Back pain Urinary incontinence Loss of sensation

New blood test results after 2 months on Levo
I’m not 100% sure what they mean save for the
vitamin
D and
B12
supplementation has clearly worked as hoped.

Advice T3 vs TSH levels
Hi All - I've been following advice on supplements and timing of tests but NHS has problems with results and need advice as what to do - I take Armour NDT with Levo. Haven't had a conversation with them about it, changing practices and moving back to the states for a period of time but will be back

Been told "no longer need injections"
So I had my latest b12 injection yesterday. I just received a text from the doctor saying that "I no longer need B12 injections and can have oral supplements from October". I don't understand this as initially when I was first diagnosed I was given oral supplements to try for 2 months initially. My serum

Hi All, I am currently in the midlands (mid 30s) and have been on b12 injections for probably almost 9 years now. I am on 8 weekly but self inject around once a week which seems to work for me. I am going to be moving as the title says to Newport in Wales before the end of the year and just wondered
