What is supplies run out?
Hello all. I use Methylcobalamin and was wondering if the place I buy mine from goes out of business, what I would do. I've tried finding a backup or two, but so far the place I buy from is $55.00 for a vial (10 shots/vial). I mean I have no reason to think they will go out of business, but with things

Update to last post.
hi everyone I thought I would give you a update on my last post. Thank you to all that posted it really helped. I have now had an ultrasound on my neck lumps. I was told I had a very small thyroid and this happens when you have been on Levo for so long (30 years) I’ve never heard of this, has anyone

Symptoms: what made you go to the GP initially ?
I still had daily diarrhoea, could barely stand up straight and so was having blood tests, stool sample analysis and a gastroenterologist appointment was booked. 2 days later, I got home from work to phone messages from the GP: ring the surgery,
vitamin
B12
deficiency found and 6 injections needed.

No mention was made of
Vitamin
D results or any related issues like ferritin,or
B12
. I take
Vitamin
D 2200iu throughout Winter, and, as of October 23, after some online research, added Vitamin K2, 100 ug. Is it advisable to take Vitamin K2 with Vitamin D ?

-otc-update-and-nice-consultation/ These are a few of my thoughts but happy to be corrected as struggling at moment and have probably missed something. I've noticed that the list of symptoms of B12 deficiency in the draft document is quite short.

vitamin b12 deficiency
Hello, I am writing to ask if any one following a plant based/vegan diet has been told their
vitamin
b12
is low. I get so confused as what the best way to eat for a kidney diet. I was hoping plantbased/vegan would be best but now it has led to a new issue. Just so confused.

https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/22722-malabsorption Absorption issues exist. The term is often used as a general explanation without a specific diagnosis being made. This led me to believe that I had to consider absorption issues when taking oral supplements. I over reacted to the term

Functional B12 diagnosis query
Hi, Can anyone advise me what kind of specialist is needed in the UK to diagnose Functional B12 deficiency? My GP practice doesn’t seem to know. After a frustrating few months waiting weeks for phone appointments, we are still no further on with being able to access B12 injections under medical supervision

Tributes to Dr Joseph Chandy, RIP ... ☹️ 😥 😢- the PEOPLE'S B12d identifying, & treating CHAMPION.
There are MANY ways in which tributes may be paid to celebrate the life & notable dedication to patient/service user care, of the late Dr JC. His funeral details are on another recent thread, that being on 12noon on Friday 12 January 2024: https://healthunlocked.com/pasoc/posts/150369759/dr-chandys-funeral-friday

3 Months of EOD B12 Injections
Hi I have been doing EOD sub cut injections of Hydroxycobalamin for 13 weeks now. The peripheral neuropathy in my feet has not improved. If anything it might be worse, but that could be from something else. Have I given this long enough to rule lack of B12 out or do I need to keep going? Some

HNY!... and a warning for those who lead busy lives (aka all of us)
Firstly, I'm conscious I haven't posted in a while. 2023 has been a tumultuous and stressful year for me personally which involved a very close family member being diagnosed with cancer at the start of the year and much of my life for the next 6 months revolving around that. It's not why I'm here, but

I will try and keep this as short as possible. 21 years ago GP diagnosed PA and up until 3 years ago I had B12 injections every 12 weeks. 3 years ago the CCG instructed GP's to cut down giving injections to anyone unless they had PA. My jobsworth GP decided to give me a blood test, which was in range

How do you obtain B12 injections in Australia? There seems to be a serious scarcity. Does anyone know an outlet .?
