Book on hypothyroidism as I wait for Levo to kick in?
Hi all, and thanks for having me here. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in October and started on 25mg Levo per day. Last week I saw my GP for (I think) an unrelated matter. She looked at my blood results from December (TSH 2.35, down from 4.39 in October, and T4 9.2, up from 7.9 in October) and

B12 and Thyroid Test
I have just ordered advanced thyroid test from medi checks and was taken aback to read that B12 should be stopped 2 weeks before test. Because of neuropathy I self inject B12 every other day and have done ever since diagnosis of hypothyroidism over a year ago, whatever blood tests I have had. Should

Help! Raised serum organic phosphate levels
Hello everyone... A month ago I posted after being concerned about a raised organic serum level. 1.89. After a change of diet and a retest there is no significant difference it’s now 1.84. The normal range is 1.40. All other bone profile and renal rests are fine as is the parathyroid level. I know

Chat with GP. Disappointed.
So recent post my TSH is still high I feel at around 4 but just in range but I know and told him about the facts and figures for it and still having symptoms and declined an increase. I feel I should do it myself. .. I can’t afford to see an endo or such so pls don’t suggest. I don’t know what to do?

Metformin and B12 Levels
My husband takes Metformin. He has just been for his review and I badgered him to ask if his B12 had been tested and if so, what the level was. I didn't think he'd ask. He's very resistant to doing things like that. But he did. He's been on Metformin since lockdown. His level of B12 today is "fine

Vitamin d
Currently trying to sort out my health after realising my stomach is not absorbing b12 (am SI). I’ve been on a low dose of d3 (500 ug) for years after being told by doctors it was low. The last d3 test I had my results came back at 68. However, I had taken the supplement that day. Are the test results

Supplements to reduce glutamate
I was inspired by Widebody's comments on taurine and glycine to look into supplements that reduce glutamate. I found the following on an autism website that I cannot vouch for, but here is the list: (those of us taking gabapentin, pregabalin, horizont are taking medicine that is reducing brain glutamate

Dizziness
I started doing SI EOD recently following great advice from forum members. I saw a different GP at my new surgery last week and she was very helpful. She has referred me to a neurologist but said the waiting time could be more than a year, she has also arranged for me to have a heart monitor 5 day

Haematologist’s unsupportive B12 response
In a recent pathology test, my gastroenterologist was concerned with my low haemoglobin count and a high reticulocyte count. She mentioned that although I’m low in ferritin (40) I’m not yet needing an iron infusion just yet. My white cell count was seemingly low also and she suggested that I should get
