Good morning. I may have to go on statins for high cholesterol . Do these affect B12 need or are there any reactions I should be aware of please?Thank you

If you would like any non-medication cholesterol-lowering advice I would be happy to bore you to death with ideas by pm 😅 Good to run any changes by your doctor though as they could potentially affect the need (or dose required) of cholesterol-lowering medication.

High cholesterol is often a sign of hypothyroidism, maybe get a private thyroid blood test?

Hi Margo Thankyou . I had one done with Medichecks and thyroid ok. I haven’t been able to exercise much so I don’t think that helps and probably eating wrong foods as felt so nauseous but improving now so started gentle ex’s and feeling more positive.

Again sorry to jump on someone else’s thread but won’t do statins because of muscle problems, started on ezetimbe but had really bad stomach problems and headaches. Cholesterol level 6.9 down from 7.8 18 months ago so would love to get it lower 😁
