Haematologist’s unsupportive B12 response
In a recent pathology test, my gastroenterologist was concerned with my low haemoglobin count and a high reticulocyte count. She mentioned that although I’m low in ferritin (40) I’m not yet needing an iron infusion just yet. My white cell count was seemingly low also and she suggested that I should get

Really lost - doctor advised me to stop injecting and now B12 keeps going down
Hi everyone, First, I want to say how much this group has been a help and source of comfort and much needed information! Thank you. In Feb 2019 I was diagnosed as having "Vitamin B12 deficiency anemia due to intrinsic factor deficiency." At the time I was 35. My doctor did not say "Pernicious Anemia

Folate when SI?
Hi everyone, How much folate is recommended when injecting B12? The folate tablets I have are 400µg. Also, can anyone kindly comment on my sudden lip problems? I awoke 4 mornings ago to blistered lips, they were slightly worse the next morning. The blistering seems to have stopped but my lips are

Low iron test results and a way forward please
I had some blood tests recently and am wanting advice on a way forward, please. My serum iron level and my transferrin saturation index are both below the minimum level on the reference ranges. My serum ferritin is only just above the minimum on the reference range. I am struggling with symptoms I remember

Update and latest results
Hello again lovely people. I thought I’d come back and update having been on Levo 50mcg since diagnosis 3 months ago. In early January the GP asked me to retest and only TSH was done (big let down but not unexpected)! I was amazed that after only 2 months on Levo 50mcg that my TSH had dropped to 0.44

Help with latest bloods please!
hi everyone I’m on 50mcg of Levothyroxine for Hashimotos and my original test results are in my profile. I’ve just had some bloods done with the GP and they’ve said no further action is required. I’m conscious that there is a difference between being within range and optimal, so I thought I’d come on

Morning all, I posted some results a while ago and followed the very wise advice I was given but as I still felt rubbish I got into my GP who was very helpful and ordered lots of tests for me. When I posted towards the end of last year I was struggling and my B12 was low, ferritin dire at 16 and some

pain?
Anybody else have pain on waking, from hips and legs up to arms & shoulders--not explained by exercise or lack thereof? Can barely hobble about the house to get my meds and feed the cat. Sometimes it helps to tighten all the muscles to form an upright posture--but as soon as I loosen them to move, it

Where to buy supplies
I've had lots of helpful links to information etc in another post. But I'm still none the wiser on what and where to buy to self-inject. I have my first ever B12 jab booked for Monday afternoon at a beauty clinic but then I will want to continue myself. I already self-manage hypothyroidism (for which

Hi everyone ☺️ I got diagnosed with stage 2 endo after a lap last November. We're trying to conceive so haven't been prescribed any meds to manage the endo. Just waiting for an IVF appointment. I've stopped eating gluten, not having caffeine or alcohol. Taking supplements. Eating well, sleeping well,

Dental work
I have recently had my 2nd alendronic acid infusion and so far so good! However I am due to have some dental work in November, which could involve extraction. When I went for my last infusion I was told not to have any work done for a while after this. I have spoken to the dentist who still wants me

vitamins to help thyroid
Hello, has anyone got any tips of vitamin complexes to help under active thyroid? I have recently upped my vit d, my B12 and found a complex that says it helps the body convert t4 to t3. I’ve been taking them all about two weeks and I do think that I’m less exhausted than I was. I’m hopeful that it

Do expired B12 hydroxocobalamin ampoules still work?
Do expired B12 hydroxocobalamin ampoules still work? I still have at least forty that expired back in February. I feel like they may not be working as I've had to increase SI from every other week to every week to feel normal again.
