Serum folate 7,(3.1-20.1) completed loading dose, being retested in 8 wks, is it best to take folic acid now, or wait for re-test please?
Hi My folate is lower in range and I was discussing red cell folate test (thank you FlipperTD!)as a way of checking folate privately. I am now wondering what’s best to do if anyone has any advice please. Is it important I wait to see how b12 settles in and see what happens with folate result in 8 wks

hi folks, I am awaiting diagnosis of Grave’s disease and during the last 3 months since my blood tests via the NHS and the waiting game to see an endocrinologist, I have been researching hyperthyroidism. The internet is FULL of people claiming there is a link between micro biome and leaky gut and Graves

TSH/T3/T4/Vit B & D results
My previous Endo (private) retired last October and the new one (private) that I was suggested to see immediately reduced my Lio from 100 to 75 & the T3 from 20 to 10. Originally I had wanted to see an NHS Endo 3 years ago but none were available, hence the private route. My readings are T4 18.8 -

response regarding my endocrinologist complaint
Hi, I am sharing the letter I received from the hospital ( it’s taken them well over 6 months). I was so ‘cheesed off’ with the reply that it’s taken me 3 days to read it again and then I spilt coffee on it 🥴. I don’t know why I thought I’d get anything better, but the response is actually farcicle

consultant Gastroenterologist
A phone call yesterday from a consultant Gastroenterologist was very unsuccessful! It lasted less than 5 mins! I explained my symptoms and what my last blood tests results were and I am indeterminate B12 deficient (as per March 24 N.I.C.E guidlines); I also explained it may be my gastric band that’s

Attempting to transition off PROLIA…
I’m feeling quite overwhelmed with the volumes of great information. I do appreciation as I got none of this from doctors I’m conflicted more than ever on how to get off PROLIA without losing bone strength & avoiding potential side effects of various Busphosphonates: AA, Zoledronic acid, Actonel.

Hello everyone. I'm waiting for NHS appt with endo which is 20th May. I don't know how much longer I can stay in work feeling like i do atm. I'm exhausted all the time. I cant afford private treatment for B12. I already pay private consultants for menopause care so I just can't add on anymore.

Could This Be Thyroid?
I know what you're going to say... do these tests and just wait and see... I'm very anxious with symptoms right now and just looking for some thoughts. Although I am currently awaiting investigations into what I'm fearful might be a liver or pancreas problem (you know what I'm saying), I'm hoping some

A tooth with a life of it's own!
Hi, all. I wrote in several months ago about a painful tooth. My dentist couldn't find anything wrong with it. He finally referred me to an endodontist, and he did a root canal. Found several issues. Would have been nice if that had been the end of it, but no! The pain would not go away, and I

Hi, I would greatly appreciate some input on my test results! I have been hypothyroid for over 17 years, and have always adhered unquestioningly to the doctor’s guidance, assuming that they were doing all they could. Having found this site, however, I am starting to wonder if there is more that can
