Are there possibilities other than stem cell transplant in Canada for CLL with 11Q deletion?
My son lives in Canada. He has CLL stage 4 with 11Q deletion. He was taken off Ibrutinib because his Neutrophils were getting low. Then he had a cold and swollen lymph nodes on his neck, and an enlarged spleen. He is now back on Ibrutinib on a reduced dosage of 2 pills/day. His doctor says that according

Stem cell breakthrough - using fat cells to create human multipotent stem cells to regenerate body parts
Face it, given the median age for CLL diagnosis is about 72, most of us are wishing we could replace some worn out body parts... While not CLL related, the article below does touch on why bone marrow transplants work (it's stem cells that are transplanted) and why this new technique is an important

"Sore mouth"
I suffered with a sore mouth when starting Methotrexate and was told to up my folic acid to one a day except the day I was injecting. That answered the problems until this last week. I have been injecting Enbrel for about six weeks and this week my sore mouth is back. The Enbrel nurse doesn't think

Hi all, So I've recently been to see a gynaecologist who has told me some fantastic news that my lap worked well and my MRI is clear! In terms of management, she advised a hormonal coil. I'm usually NO to hormones as they really affect my mental health (I had the mirena removed for this reason). However

Mouth ulcers
A week ago, I saw my GP for sores in my mouth. It actually started with a sore throat, but then I noticed white patches in the back of my throat as well as inside the cheeks. These were quite painful . The doctor thought I had thrush and put me on Chlortrimazole lozenges, 5 per day . About 4 days later
