Thought you may be interested. MDS is a rare bone marrow disease which is only curable by a cell stem or bone marrow transplant. I can't find any information or indeed references on this web site but anyone affected, see more here www.mdspatientsupport.org.uk. Best regards Glyn

Now, I have multiple sores on my tongue and inside my cheeks. I'm not so sure that it is thrush after all. I know

My Son had his Kit Gene test back which may answer the family health and leukaemia coincidence. It shows that he has the kit gene which make a bone marrow transplant more likely now so they are now looking to see if his brother is a match ( 25% chance ) What we do not know is who of us has the gene

I am having a real run of cold sores. Is there anyone else out there having the same problem? How serious are cold sores? What should I be doing to help myself? I have been taking Lysine and have cream to put on them but not sure this is helping much. I'm sick of having unkissable lips!!!!!

Face rash update
Today my daughters face is looking a little better I think. Mind you, I say that and then in a few hours it will probably look angry again, that's the way it seems to go. I think it's worse when she is warm. Anyway, today is the best it's been. On the other hand, spotted another mouth ulcer today. That's

Cold sores
Hi all! I am currently treating my RD with Enbrel and Sulfasalazine. It is mostly under good control. In the last few months I have had a couple of cold sores. I get them occasionally anyway but never this often. Is this common with RD meds? How can I treat/control the outbreaks? Please share your tips

Why we need to register and report the results of all clinical trials
schwit1 writes in Slashdot: [i]"The requirement that medical researchers register in detail the methods they intend to use in their clinical trials, both to record their data as well as document their outcomes, caused a significant drop in trials producing positive results.
