Lifts, and power cuts
Hydrolic and
Traction
. The unbiased advice was try to opt for Hydrolic, a backup emergency power supply is usually standard. With the
Traction
it's an extra, which can be more expensive. It's also possible to have a special phone line in the lift, which would still work in a power cut.

Worst fungal yeast infection and diarrhoea after wisdom tooth extraction - can i take fluconazole with amoxycillin?
Worst thrush ever - walking is very uncomfortable. Never had such a severe case. Very bad diarrhoea today, totally dehydrated and worn out. Not had it so bad since the gluten-eating days. The tooth was extracted Tues, still oozing. Taking probiotics with amoxy but still suffering. The fluconazole says

Traction Therapy!
Does such a think exist? I can not think of anything better right now. How I'd love to lay on a bed and be gently stretched out. If this doesn't exist, I'm trademarking it and going into business. You heard it here first! ;)

Tooth extraction with INR of 4
Morning all, I have a broken tooth which needs to be extracted. My dentist says she will do it at her clinic with an INR of upto 4, whereas my friend who used to be a dental nurse said her practice wouldn't touch me with a barge pole, and my anti-coag dept say that I need to have it done at the hospital

Mtx & periodontal disease
Hi all, I had periodontal disease before RA & Mtx & was told to stop smoking, which I've done (I've blogged about this before.) But I've had 2 teeth out in the last 3 months and now another one is aching & feels loose - & for me that tends to mean extraction looms. Previously my last tooth extraction

Sometimes it's ok just to be a patient
This may well be true as is the undoubted fact that health self-management is gaining enormous
traction
especially with patients who have long term conditions. In that area I will just tease you a little with a new self-management hub that will launch soon.

What a day
What a day. Had appointment at dentist to have a bad molar removed after it had become infected with an abscess. Dropped into chemist before hand for something for my chesty cough. They told me i had an infection and see doctor. I raced to doctors and asked them if i could see one urgently for antibiotics

Has anybody experienced "mouth problems" whilst taking Alendronic Acid?
I was diagnosed with PMR in December 2012. My GP started me on 20mg Prednisolone and am currently on 10mg. Alongside the Pred, I have been prescribed Ranatidine, Adcal -D3 chewable calcium tablets and Alendronic Acid - to be taken once weekly. Today I had my regular 6 monthly dental check-up (the first

Nose bleeds and Raynaud's also ongoing lack of appetite
Hello I need some advice please. My 15 year old autistic son was diagnosed by our GP with Raynaud's three years ago. We have never seen a consultant about this. My son has been suffering from severe nose bleeds from a very young age. He had gone two years without a bleed but this week they have returned

The spirit is willing the body is weak
Good job I didn't suddenly fall over and impale myself on them and the last time they fitted my neck up to a
traction
machine and left me again to have a coffee, fortunately the machine behaved and I wasn't left with a neck like a giraffe...

Bridge-to-10K: Week 3 Run 1
About eight or nine minutes in, I had my first slip experience -- I didn't fall (or come close, really), but I did feel my foot swing out behind me, rather than get proper
traction
. I slowed down, yet it kept happening. More and more frequently, in fact!

Twas on a frosty morning just a little warning!
To all my fibro friends do take care today ice can be so deceptive make sure you need to go out before you go, I am perhaps a little wary of ice I managed to crash a car on black ice many years ago an spent 3months in hospital in
traction
and another 3 learning to walk again.
