low body temps despite 75 mcgs T3 daily.
I have Hashimotos
Thyroiditis
and take 50mcgs Unipharma T3 at seven am and another 25mcgs at five pm and have been on T3 only for almost three years. Despite this, my temps are still between 35.8 and 36.3 daily. I feel tired and look puffy faced and put on weight very very easily.

Selenium with iodine or not?
Reading my copy of izabella wentz's book hashimoto's
thyroiditis
. I had the impression selenium needs to be taken first before starting iodine or have I missed something? I am low on both but been taking selenium all the time with or without iodine as I have difficulties to tolerate iodine.

Happy with my GP
He wasn't impressed that the endo has basically abandoned me following his diagnosis of autoimmune
thyroiditis
. He has requested all the relevant blood tests as advised by yourselves, yet their system didn't have option for T3 tests! Feeling optimistic for the first time in years :)

Thyroid and IBS
I FINALLY went to a functional medicine/integrative MD and after tons of blood work and stool specimens, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's
thyroiditis
, adrenal fatigue, and gut dysbiosis (leaky gut). I was amazed to read about how ALL of these things are related and affect one another!

I have Hastimotos
thyroiditis
and have recently changed from Levo to NDT. Feeling ok though can't say much better and no weight lost. I still feel very bloated and can't seem to lose weight even though I am eating mainly paleo style.

Swelling
Hi all, A year ago I was diagnosed with
thyroiditis
/under active thyroid. I've been on thyroxine for around 10 months. Most of my symptoms have subsided, I'm occasionally less motivated and a bit down but nothing major. The one symptom that hasn't gone at all is the swelling of my thyroid.

Why can't I lose weight.
I have Hashimoto's
thyroiditis
(underactive thyroid.) I'm a vegetarian on a gluten free diet (I'm a 62 year old female.) My last print out showed a slight weight gain over 3 months, a small loss of visceral fat and 10 cm off my waist. My BMI has dropped from 31 to 28.

Auto immune gastritis
I read recently (can't remember where) that although quite rare (ish) incidence rates of gastritis are higher with people who have autoimmune
thyroiditis
. What are the symptoms and what (if any) is the treatment? Many thanks Jane

Grateful for any advice
The results were that I had positive ANA antibodies, anti-Ro antibodies, positive anti-adrenal antibodies, fibrotic
thyroiditis
and Hashimotos. He didn't want to increase my dose of Levo until I'd been to a Lupus specialist. I did this and all of the above was confirmed.
