Good endocrinologist in London
I am considering visiting Proff Grossman privately after 7 years of illness and lack of understanding or willingness to consider testing or treating my condition from my current GP (the GP who first suspected post-partum
thyroiditis
and Hashimotos - and was right - has since left the practice).

Think I've just realised that not many nurses or doctors have a clue about Hashimoto disease or
thyroiditis
! Can anyone advise me if this is long term or will it go by itself? Feeling totally disappointed today!

WHAT TIME IS BEST for taking my Levothyroxine, please?
Hi all, I was diagnosed on Monday as having Autoimmune
Thyroiditis
(AITD) with Subclinical Hypothyroidism (SH). Although I am not celebrating being ill, I'm thrilled to bits to finally have a DIAGNOSIS!

Symptoms returned :(
I have autoimmune illnesses, Psoriasis and P.arthritis and Hashimoto's
thyroiditis
. A few weeks later my GP did the blood test (too late) so it came back negative. I was losing a little weight and lost some of my tummy. So I have been feeling ok for a few years but now the symptoms are back.

Vein in my leg causing pain?
In 2015 i was diagnosed with hashimotos
thyroiditis
so i thought maybe it was a symptom pf that. But surely it wouldve gone by now.Sometimes it can be in my thigh but mostly in my calf/shin area.

Help
I was diagnosed with autoimmune
thyroiditis
in 2011. Gp was no help and started me on thyroxine but this made me worse. Saw a consultant privately as no one seemed to understand the symptoms. Have low vit D too. Went to my new gps with aching joints, feeling tired etc. Went for blood results.

Very low temperatures with reverse T3 ratio at 0.2
I have Hashimotos
Thyroiditis
. I take Armour 2 grains daily plus loads of supplements. Over the past couple of weeks I have experienced really bad chills as well as a very low temperature. For example yesterday my temperature was 34.6 at 10am.

Need advice regarding testing and treatment
I was then diagnosed with post-partum
thyroiditis
in 2009 and eventually Hashimotos disease. I also suffer from other autoimmune conditions - vitiligo, Raynaud's disease, and eczema caused by a gluten allergy (I do not have antibodies indicative of Celiac disease, so this is not diagnosed).

Question for Autoimmune Thyroiditis sufferers
Please excuse the length of my post. I have been considering common symptoms and a member's recent post about mucin has made me think. I would like to look into theory that suggests symptoms could be more of an immune issue than previously thought. I am 5ft tall and weigh over 13 stone. Strict

Thyroid HELP
I recently wrote a post about my theory that I may be lacking t3 as I have been feeling constantly unwell since my diagnosis of hypothyroid and
thyroiditis
3 years ago. I have since then paid to see a specialist and have today been told that all 9 of my bloods including T3 levels were normal.

I was diagnosed with Silent
thyroiditis
12 months ago Been on Levo 100mcg since August when my TSH went to 44 My endo advised reducing this in Dec 2015 as he believed my thyroid may have recovered. I went along with this although sceptical.

Hashimoto's Sambs March Test results- help!
A lot to take in and consider but I do think there is a correlation between
Thyroiditis
and Type 2 diabetes medications - where one type destroys effects of the other and leads to more immune conditions. Bearing in mind I'd started life with a gland removal!

T3 Levels
I have never felt well despite any increases (I suffer hypothyroid and chronic
thyroiditis
) and after years of research I am coming to the idea that my T3 levels are the problem. My GP will not test me for this so I am seeking private care instead.

B12 is three times lower in autistic brains and schizophrenics', healthy old people have v low levels too.
I realise this is not directly relevant to the thyroid, but autism is linked to untreated
thyroiditis
, and b12 seems so often low amongst those with thyroid disease. The fact that serum values are no guide to brain fluid values is interesting in itself.

Thyroid Antibodies range
For example, Mayo says <9.0 IU/mL is negative, and that "values >9.0 IU/mL generally are associated with autoimmune
thyroiditis
." (http://www.mayomedicallaboratories.com/test-catalog/Clinical+and+Interpretive/81765.) However, the NHS reference range is <60IU/mL.
