I have been struggling a while, I had a scan which revealed thyroiditis and a small grade 2 cyst. Drs won't give me any support as bloods are normal.

Hi, I have not posted on this site before, usually other sites as have an autoimmune type of ataxia. But I would like to understand more.My question is probably simple. Is thyroid problems due to an autoimmune response and do you all rely on medication to keep your thyroid in balance? Does anyone eat

Can you develop acute/sub acute thyroiditis when you are already on levo?

Hi all I'm due to start taking Carbimazol today. The Endocrinologist advised my Gp to prescribe it because the wait for an urgent endo appointment will be 8 weeks plus. I'm not very good generally at taking tablets Paracetamol for headache is generally my limit, as I get worried about side effects.

Had FNA on one of the nodules that was suspicious but it was consistent with thyroiditis. My TSH, FT3 and FT4 are normal? I have lots of symptoms and ordered if anyone can shed light on my my bloods might be normal?

Hello, I am looking for recommendations (via private messaging) for a clinician or specialist who can help me with my Hashimotos thyroiditis. My blood results show my T3. levels are low and my cholesterol raised. I posted them on a separate post earlier today.

My question is: if I have no signs of thyroiditis - is it Ord's as I always thought because no goitre but dose Ord's present without thyroid inflammation i.e. itis.

A month later the left side swelled significantly & a scan showed acute thyroiditis with high vascularity, lymphatic impact & thyroid inferno. The report says it’s unlikely to be Hashimoto’s. Previous (limited) blood tests have been normal so I’m tempted to look privately to get a diagnosis.

I have autoimmune thyroiditis and have taken 75mcg Levothyroxine and 10mcg liothyronine for many years. Thyroid medication was stopped 24 hours prior to the morning blood test and vitamin B supplements several days before. Many thanks in advance!

I since found out about Postpartum thyroiditis and wondered if my diagnosis was related to that and would somehow sort itself out in a year - 18 months? I'm just after anyone's experience with pp thyroiditis and how did you know that's what it was, rather than full blown hypothyroidism?

I have hashimotos thyroiditis and high cholesterol. I know the two conditions are linked. My GP wants to start me on statins as I recently had a retinal vein occlusion, possibly caused by high cholesterol. My BP is not elevated. Are any of the members here on statins with the same disease ?

She said this means it’s auto immune thyroiditis. She is sending me for more bloods, not sure what. I did have my TSH done by the GP and these came back as normal at 1.66. Is there anything that I need to ask for?
