Thyroiditis

My gp insists I have underactive thyroid but the diagnosis in 1985 was Riedel's thyroiditis. I have yet to find a gp that understands this. I was on 125mcg for decades, test results fine, lost all the weight. Dosage changed to 100mcg Jan 2024. I was also given iron supplements & B12 in Jan 2024.

Has anyone had similar symptoms with a non defined source of thyroiditis? Thanks

Any one with Sjogrens had thyroiditis. I had a scan in January which radiologist reported that it was in keeping with with autoimmune thyroiditis, there was also one cyst and one nodules.

I have been struggling a while, I had a scan which revealed thyroiditis and a small grade 2 cyst. Drs won't give me any support as bloods are normal.

Researching Thyroiditis doesn’t really give much info, but I would have thought if I didn’t need the Levothyroxine, my levels would be higher, and I’d have symptoms of hyperthyroid? Don’t want to doubt the consultant, but interested to hear if others have had a similar diagnosis?

I thought I was starting peri menopause and gp sent me for bloods and turns out I'm in hyper stage of postpartum thyroiditis T4 is 24 (not high compared to others I've read abt) but my TPO antibodies are >1300 Serum TSH <0.03 Gp has told me to take 40mg propananol daily and waiting on an urgent referral

Can you develop acute/sub acute thyroiditis when you are already on levo?

Had FNA on one of the nodules that was suspicious but it was consistent with thyroiditis. My TSH, FT3 and FT4 are normal? I have lots of symptoms and ordered if anyone can shed light on my my bloods might be normal?

Hi all I'm due to start taking Carbimazol today. The Endocrinologist advised my Gp to prescribe it because the wait for an urgent endo appointment will be 8 weeks plus.
