Brain Eating Amoeba
I went
swimming
in a popular natural (72 degree) springs here in Florida. I jumped in once and got water all up in my nose. Then i swam over to a ladder and got out. That was all fine and dandy until a 2 am thought hit---brain eating amoebas.

Damn the torpedoes..' Part 8
I had to drop the
swimming
due to adverse reactions with the chemicals - chlorine I guess. Maddening itching all over my back and sides. Had it every time I get serious about
swimming
. So, I’ve decided to double down on the cycling. Minimum 11.5 miles up to (so far) 35 miles per day.

I had my Swmming event today.
🤪 I swam the first half goggle free, my shoulders were starting to hurt from sticking my neck out the water, I had tried
swimming
with my head underwater but it had made my eyes sore.

Phew - week 1 done, but the dog's not happy!
She enjoyed
swimming
in the pond and smelling the primroses though.... I don't know if she'll be in it with me for the long haul, but we'll keep trying as I'm enjoying her company out in the woods.

How about swimming?
One of the facilities at our disposal is the
swimming
pool. Now, I have not been, or tried
swimming
since I was diagnosed over 5 years ago....it's not through fear, it just hasn't come about!!

Couch to 5k newbie!
Couch to 5k has been amazing so far, and while the end still seems ages away I can already feel my mental health improving and I walked through my door with a massive smile earlier that I managed two 3 minute runs 😊 I’m also playing 5-a-side football once a week now too and I would like to start

Ofcourse I feel awful because I do not contribute, and I end up beating myself up over it. and he only gets 2 off days a week, sometime only 1 day, and he wants to spend that time at home to rest and whatnot (which I understand) but sometimes I ask if we can go out and go fishing or hiking or

Have to give up running 😭
I have a very mild disability it affects my movement and coordination and balance, I went and saw a specialist doctor yesterday and he told me along with my mother that I have to stop running as it’s too high impact for my body to cope with, he suggested cycling or
swimming
for me as that would be better

Major Achievement... Fear of Swimming Pools Overcome.. if affected please seek support
I’ve wanted to go
swimming
🏊♂️ for a very long time but as a consequence of sinister acts that I suffered when I was a boy I’ve had a fear of drowning and
swimming
pools. This week I overcame that fear. This week I went
swimming
twice with my Support Worker.

October Half Marathon Group: Let's talk plans! 😊😊😊
Cycling,
swimming
, and yoga are the most popular. I'm a big fan of strength work too - be it bodyweight (yoga covers this to a certain extent) or lifting, but I've noticed some plans give it a miss!
