Abdominal support for hernia
I am planning to go on the holiday in the meantime and there will be some
swimming
involved. I was wondering whether anyone here knows of any abdominal support belts or another aid that will allow me to swim/not fall off when in the water? Many thanks for help!

Lovely warming sunshine ☀️
I have just returned from a wonderful week's holiday in Greece, soaking up the sun and
swimming
every day. Back in damp, rainy Ireland I am like a rusty tin man barely able to turn my head.

Struggled a bit this morning but I think that's a Monday thing, after a lazy weekend and very little movement added to overindulgence, I can even say my mood was different and for absolutely no reason at all, so no more sitting around on a weekend, I won't be running but need to do something, walking,

W9R1 Running companions 🦢🦢
As I finished my first 5 mins, I noticed 2 Canadian geese happily
swimming
along with me. Finally, running companions! I can’t say it was easy but when I stopped worrying about my slow speed I even enjoyed it.

Do you exercise?
Tai chi,
swimming
, dance, a walk in the park. For the less mobile, there are chair exercise classes. I have just heard of a lady teaching Tai Chi near me and she is 93. I thought I was passed it!

Muscle Strength and Maintaining Weight
Swimming
can cause repetitive strain on the muscles and joints although the water does support the muscles. I would keep
swimming
down to a leisure pace and not try to do as many lengths as you can.

Exercising with PMR
Swimming
- This, by far is the absolute best exercise that should be on everybodys' get well list of things to do. It seems as though
swimming
can make you work, but it seems nearly impossible for me to OVERDO IT. Maybe doing sprints would cause problems. So don't do sprints......

First week observations
Its spacious, it has all the
swimming
/Jacuzzi/sauna I need and I feel like going there. In conclusion, losing weight is about re-altering your thinking and controlling your mind! Hopefully when and if i ever come close to giving up I can re-read this.

Desperation and Despair
I feel like I'm less than human and that I'm
swimming
in a sea of condemnation. I feel desperation which gives me a feeling of desperately trying to run and a vision of a child climbing a muddy hill trying to get away....

Poorly feet
I took it onboard & now I have ankles 😎 just in time for my flight back on Wednesday 🤦♀️ I’ve been
swimming
everyday & walked so I reckon what changed was drinking loads of water & putting my feet up. Thanks again guys

Low blood count
Also do people take precautions when they have low white cell counts etc not going
swimming
may be in case of picking up infection? Thanks for your thoughts.

Diet
I'm not sure how to maintain a healthy diet and if I do go on a diet then I have the sudden urge to reach into the cupboard and stuff my face with sweets. Also when I go on holiday I'm scared I won't fit into my bicini so if I don't lose weight I will look like a pig in a

How running "reshapes" your heart - interesting article in NY Times
I'm excited to think that the runs I'm doing might actually be having a real effect on how well my heart can work... https://www.nytimes.com/2019/04/03/well/move/heart-health-

Higher BMI, lowering the exercise without lowering the calorie intake ... silly boy!!
Keen triathlete with
swimming
coaching twice a week (6-7/10 exertion), cycling once a week (5/10) and running more often than not (6-8/10). But I had a niggling glute so backed off the 2-3 weekly trial runs nearly 10 months ago... BUT NOT the calories!!

Not sure whether to continue running.
I love that my fitness has improved so much and it’s been a real eye opener trying other activities that used to wear me out like cycling and
swimming
. Had such a lovely bike ride yesterday and had no trouble with the hills and stuff like I used to.

Treadmill running... does anyone actually enjoy it?
Completed my w7r2 on Tuesday in the gym whilst my son had his
swimming
lesson. Must say it was the first time I thought I would not get through it. Had to dig really deep to complete it but was just soooooo boring! Had music on but really struggled.
