How running "reshapes" your heart - interesting article in NY Times

What a fascinating piece, emphasising that getting your heart pumping hard while upright has more effect than being prone.!!!!!!
Believe it or not, every part of your body benefits from exercise, not just the muscles involved in the physical action.
Thanks for posting.

That was an interesting read. I have noticed through my Fitbit with HR that my resting heart rate has reduced since Iβve been running which is a good thing I think.

Brilliant! I've definitely seen a good reduction in resting heart rate since I started exercising regularly which is always reassuring but this is really interesting ππ

"Swimmers, unlike runners, lie prone, in buoyant water and hold their breaths.." well, that was a bit harsh. π

Well spotted. Thanks. A really interesting article. I KNEW running was better for me than housework. ππ
