Completed my w7r2 on Tuesday in the gym whilst my son had his swimming lesson. Must say it was the first time I thought I would not get through it. Had to dig really deep to complete it but was just soooooo boring! Had music on but really struggled. Just completed w7r3 outdoors and no demons whatsoever, just loved the (slow) run.
Doing the odd run on a treadmill would fit into my work/life schedule but really not keen. Anyone got any tips on how to make it more enjoyable?

It is ghastly I agree. I have run when on holiday in very hot places but wouldn't do it by choice. Maybe listen to an audiobook or a podcast to help pass the time?
Highly recommend a podcast to take your mind elsewhere or download something to watch on your phone ? Might effect your form a bit but a good distraction from the treadmill ?
I loved it! I did most of the programme on it due to an earlier injury and didn’t run outside until after graduation. I had really inspirational music in my ears and I have a vivid imagination so I went away with the fairies 🙄
Just think that elite athletes use the treadmill a lot for their training, it uses slightly different muscles than runs outside and it definitely builds your mental stamina. All good!
Maybe not the best for C25K, but a treadmill is like a running track. It's brilliant for speed/sprint work. Later on you might want to build up speed or just put something different into your running routine... a quick mile/2 miles...when you're running at real pace you don't want anything in your way, you want it flat, you don't want to overtake anyone, you don't want dogs running in front of you.. so the treadmill is perfect. Plus when you're sprinting you're not bored, your mind is 100% focused on running, you're not going to be looking at the trees when you're running flat out. So try running faster... then you'll be off it faster. 😃
