Hello, sorry I ask “alotl” questions.
What about
swimming
in chlorine? Sorry I have so many questions, but all of this is new. Glad to be here!

New here with diagnosed heart failure
I also don't know whether I can do things on holiday, like snorkelling, canoeing, speed boats, jet skis,
swimming
, go to hot or cold countries.

Roller coaster mind set
I adjusted very quickly and within one month was back to walking 5 miles a day and 3
swimming
sessions a week under the cardiac physio management. I changed my diet as I was and still am very over weight.

Following my yoga retreat in Wales where I did a little "wild
swimming
" in an incredibly cold lake I was determined it wouldn't be a one off, so I've linked up with a
swimming
group in Worthing and jumped in the sea Saturday.

Flying high and feeling "the burn"
Running, walking and wild
swimming
helped me so much when really ill with GAD. In the very early days it was difficult to set foot out of my home and I did not feel any better while on the walk, infact I felt worse and worse as the walk went on.

The doctor at the pain clinic knows nothing about this disease and suggested cold water
swimming
and changing to a Keto diet . Can anyone help me through this final stage ?

After a cardio version what things should you avoid doing in relation to exercise or every day stuff? To reduce risk of returning to AFib?
I’m now in slow lane at
swimming
and get breathless walking to quickly or up a small hill. But the nurse was vague and just said I mustn’t do anything that might trigger AFib like
swimming
the channel 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ Any advice please? X

Should you see a Cardiologist Specialist?
I have just returned to the gym and
swimming
this week. This morning I managed 6 lengths with a short rest, but I realised that my heart had gone into what I believe is a Trigeminy rhythm with two beats then one missed.

Reassurance please if possible
Today, I went cold water
swimming
, only a little, then Christmas shopping and home to walk the dogs. On return I went very hot, light headed and shaky, pulse racing, few ectopics, I'm not diabetic. I've eaten but still feel rough.

Watching from the sidelines
I finished C25K ages ago and I still plod a 5 km a couple of times a week in about 44 mins .I also do open water
swimming
in our local Loch. However, I started using an insulin pump 9 weeks ago and I'm struggling to get past running for more than 20 minutes without hypoing.

I usually love cycling, running and open water
swimming
and right now all those thinks seem impossible. I feel like I'll never feel normal again. Any tips/insight or advice would be helpful. Many thanks, ML

New Year, new lungs?
Despite having a lung capacity and oxygen transfer rate of less than 50% I remain hyper functioning so while I can't do things like running or
swimming
I can still cycle, walk miles and hold down a job.

Afib ablation 3 months on.
The last 2 weeks however have been a milestone 🙌🏻🙏 The fatigue and shortness of breath has vastly improved to the point I can get out running, cycling and
swimming
again.

Two prawns were
swimming
around in the ocean. One called Justin and the other called Kristian. The prawns were constantly being harassed and threatened by sharks that inhabited the area: Finally one day Justin said to Kristian. "I'm fed up with being a prawn.

It is, to put it mildly, a bore; at the moment I can only just walk a very short distance, climbing stairs is like climbing Everest (or so I imagine), and
swimming
, which I love, is completely out. I have upped my pred. dose from 3 1/2 mg to 5 mg. on the advice of the practice nurse.

Hi guys I'm back (sorta)
I am a senior now; I finished my senior year of
swimming
, and I got a job over the summer as a lifeguard. I am still doing running start, and I got a new phone and my license. I still am not great at creating a routine I just go to what I need to be and my sleep schedule is not great like always.

Friedreich's Ataxia Diagnosis - questions to ask the neurologist?
I currently work out regularly (cardio, weight training and
swimming
) as when ataxia was suspected by the neurologist I was advised to exercise as much as I can. P.S. I have registered with Ataxia UK and the FA patient registry :) Thank you in advance!

Last update on 5th valve replacement surgery
Am driving with no issues and I’ve even been
swimming
a couple of times (with the blessing of my consultant), something I would never have considered with a sternotomy at this stage. So again, sternotomy v endoscopically. It’s got to be endoscopically. Less pain, more movement, quicker recovery.
