A 4 Year Journey
I have considered
surgery
for Artificial Urinary Sphincter (AUS) to resolve my incontinence but have been advised not to undergo that
surgery
before having HBOT. I'd really love to hear from anyone who has experienced any of the above issues.

Surprise at GP
had an appt this morning about gut/urgency issues and finally got round to asking what my very first TSH reading was, in August 2021, 3 months post hip replacement
surgery
. My understanding was that I was borderline - I didn’t even know what that was!

Laparoscopy made everything 1000x times worse, anyone else?
It is with a new team in a different catchment area as I have moved house since the last
surgery
, so my only hope is that this
surgery
will be different. And I might experience some relief... Has anyone else had a bad experience the first time around? Any suggestions, any help?

Gallstones are actually a hernia/ulcers
But the hernia needs
surgery
. It’s pretty big at 12cm (apparently ‘large’ is 5-10cm) so it’s understandable the surgeon wants to repair it. He also took a tonne of biopsies and I get the results in a week. Anyone else ever gone through hernia
surgery
?

Roller coasters and Cardiac condition
Now I have a cardiac condition- currently recovering from mitral valve open heart
surgery
where they were able to successfully fix my mitral valve, I don't want to lose my enthusiasm to go on rollercoasters knowing that I have a cardiac condition.

Do testosterone supplements help raise testosterone levels after use of Lupron with radiation?
trying to decide to decide between
surgery
and radiation w/Lupron as a treatment for prostate cancer. I’m particularly concerned with how long it takes to restore testerone levels after 6 months on Lupron. Does the use of testerone supplements help restore T levels more quickly?

Isolated Diastolic Hypertension
My average bp reading is 106/93 (highest 125/117 and lowest 95/73) My gp
surgery
blood pressure readings are higher than my home readings for systolic so two years ago my gp prescribed Amlodipine but I passed out, the hospital said to stop taking it and for the gp to prescribe an alternative medication

High Cholesterol
My wife’s GP
surgery
is now advising statins for a cholesterol reading which in Canada and most of Europe would be deemed normal. In Canada anything below 5.2 is normal and between 5.2 and 6.2 the reading is deemed to be borderline. Readings of >6.2 are deemed to be high.

Any experiences surgery at Ross Hall Glasgow?
My
surgery
is very soon with Dr Hawthorn and I'm getting nervous. Been told I'll only be in one night, doesnt sound much. DIE to be excised, slight bowel adhesion, ovaries stuck together and multiple cysts to be removed. It all sounds terrifying!
