Any experiences surgery at Ross Hall Glasgow?
My
surgery
is very soon with Dr Hawthorn and I'm getting nervous. Been told I'll only be in one night, doesnt sound much. DIE to be excised, slight bowel adhesion, ovaries stuck together and multiple cysts to be removed. It all sounds terrifying!

Should I be looking at bowel

Any info or experience with light headedness and circulation issues with PD?
My husband has PD, 9 years in, He had DBS
surgery
a year ago and that has been a miraculous positive change, however he has this symptom of getting really lightheaded when going from sitting to standing or any quick movements, ( he passed out a while ago and hit his head) or happens like playing pickleball

open Heart Surgery
I had open heart
surgery
at Wythenshawe Hospital in 1984. It went well and recovery was quick. It takes time to build up stamina to return to normal. By the time you leave hospital you should be able to get out of the bath on your own.

Get Your Cataracts Treated - Part 2
Most people without cataracts or who have had cataract
surgery
can read lines 2 or 3. Before my cataract
surgery
I could only read line 7. Clearly, you need to test each eye separately. You need to do the test on a computer screen with good brightness.

ZSR staples still intact after 9 days of circumcision
The
surgery
went well with very less bleeding and discomfort. Glans sensitivity though still there has reduced a bit and is bearable. Have a little donut swelling just behind the glans but that is expected I guess. The worry is, it has been 9 days now but there is no movement on the staples yet.

Disappointed
Surgery
went well. All lymph’s were removed that lit up on the scan. docs felt PSA would reduce drastically since lymph’s were only thing that showed up on scan.

Colostomy
Now, am anticipating for
surgery
on Feb 27 ( in 3 weeks). My
surgery
told me there’s a 50/50 chance I will need colostomy ( tumor pressing on my rectum). Am having a very difficult time processing and accepting the idea of colostomy for life. Would you kindly share your experiences with me?

Hashimoto's blood test and cortisol tests
I have been asked by my GP
Surgery
to provide them with the list of blood tests I believe are correct for a patient with Hashimoto's. I don't seem to be able to find it. Would someone be kind enough to show me where I may find it please?

Weaning post kasai.
Hi, Has anyone weaned before 6 months post kasai
surgery
? My baby is 4 months old and doing well. He is showing signs that I could start weaning him but because of his
surgery
I’m not sure if I should wean early or not? Anyone got any advice? Or weaned their babies early post kasai?

No wonder Armour wasn't resolving my symptoms.... Turns out I have Dysautonomia as well as Hashimoto's
Triggered by major
surgery
last year. Diagnosed by a cardiologist with a specialism in this area. I wasn't aware POTS could cause many of the symptoms I suffer with. They can be so similar to thyroid symptoms.

Preparing for thyroid blood tests
I am slated to have NHS knee replacement
surgery
but following my pre-op assessment have been dropped from the list because of abnormal thyroid levels. No information has been offered about the levels, what is abnormal about them or what they would like my levels to be.
