bleeding/ spotting 6 weeks after surgery
I feel like I’ve not stopped spotting/bleeding since my
surgery
nearly 2 months ago now. I stopped for about a week after my first period but started spotting again after ovulation and this period is now going on forever too. Is this normal? Just want to have a normal cycle as I’m TTC!

My situation is complicated by having had a major hip fracture 15 months ago and
surgery
which then failed and had to be repeated. Its been a long recovery so far and I don't know what the future holds in terms of long term mobility. .

Helped out at work in the cold and Xmas on the way and to top it my daughter in law was rushed into emergency
surgery
. So food has been the last thing to worry about. Hospital food isn't that healthy surprisingly. You would think that they would have some access to healthy eating in their cafes.

waiting for a diagnosis
I didn’t want to call an ambulance as gp suggested but they saw me in
surgery
straight away. I have been on statins for years as most of my relatives have died young of heart attack and stroke. My sister had to have a heart bypass in her 50’s.

Abnormalities on the CT 6 months after Chemo (while on Niraparib) CA125 at 4.9, anyone same experience?
was so hoping for another clear scan after such a short period as I feel great (last CT in July 23) so this came as a hit now :( My CA125 is at 4.9 so lowest possible level (started from 440 when diagnosed) so am still hopeful but I also know my CA125 dropped to 16 after 3 courses of Chemo before

Despair at not being helped
Too many cock ups with GP
surgery
to mention but my point in writing is I've had no spirometry, no management plan, no rescue meds etc. No one has even done my peak flow (recently found an old one and it's 230 every day) Am I right to feel so frustrated and angry?

Regular care
The local

check my meds yearly and I have an annual blood test, but that’s it. I am wondering whether I should ask to be referred back to see a cardiologist at my local hospital - my AF is perfectly stable and most of the time I don’t know I have it and I’m happy on APIXABAN.

a little drama
Wednesday my husband was diagnosed with detached retina, yesterday was an hour and a half trip to eye hospital for his
surgery
. A verrry long day. I know we grumble about health care, but goodness me, he had the best, prompt attention. Amazing NHS .

Flare Strategy?
I am having the oral
surgery
/extraction in exactly three weeks. At the moment the tooth I am having extracted has what is called a periodontal abscess or infection, but my immune system seems to be handling it pretty well and I have been able to stay off antibiotics.

Min invasive Aortic valve replacement:- happy or disappointed?
Saw a surgeon yesterday who wants to replace the valve with an animal valve, but he does not do minimally invasive
surgery
any more. So he wants to cut the breastbone, as it affords better access amd Im guessing is easier. He says it needs doing v urgently.

Anyone with neuro symptoms
I had to remove thyroid with
surgery
. No other treatments were considered necessary. I do blood tests every 2 months. I am now taking 100mcg Levo and 5mcg T3. My endo says to test 4 hours after T3, so I normally take both T4 and T3 at 4-5am and then do the test before 9am.

Latest endo appointment. Will not increase T3 as TSH now low!!!!!
Apparently, even though I can have the blood tests at the GPs
surgery
, they will only do what they will do!!!!! Therefore, she recommended for me to have blood tests taken at the hospital where all those requested will be done. It is so difficult for me to get to hospital for blood tests.

Doxazosin
Also reading on here about the many side affects of Doxazosin here on this site, not going to take it until I have spoken with the Pharmacist or GP at my
surgery
, sometimes I think many of us are just treated like guinea-pigs by the NHS, we're just a number, not a person with no brain cells to rub together

thoracic/diaphragmatic endo
I was told today I likely have thoracic and or diaphragmatic endometriosis and should have
surgery
. My parents are very anti this idea due to the risks of
surgery
. Does anyone have any insight into the risk v benefit of this
surgery
? Has anyone been through it and improved from it?

CT scan
Took it for 2 months and had to go off Ibrance for 5 weeks for
surgery
. Back on it for a month. Has a CT scan which showed more bone Mets and increased size. A node in lungs which was not seen on previous scan 6 months ago. Discouraged to think the treatment isn’t working and I just got started.
