3 weeks post CABG surgery
He has been on the waiting list for
surgery
since May and the idea of being able to return to some sort of normality post-
surgery
has kept him going, logically he knows that recovery will take time but he’s still finding it frustrating.

Post Surgery Issues
Hi All, I had a total laparoscopic hysterectomy in July and all healed well - very happy. Then the past few days the incision in my belly button has started hurting, I have a swollen belly and it feels like a UTI then I have some bleeding from my belly button and it has a red mark around it. It looks

Hip replacement.
I have
surgery
booked for my right hip booked for 1st March. I'm having a dual mobility prosthesis as I have had lumbar
surgery
and I also have scoliosis and so am at greater risk of dislocation.

Thank you to everyone.......
For all of you who offered prayers (at my request) for my family member (brother) who had
surgery
, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. My brother had successful
surgery
and is home from the hospital recovering.

Cancerous thyroid nodules. Are they painful sometimes?
I'm awaiting
surgery
on a nodule that's suspicious for follicular cancer but obviously as we know, they can't be certain until its taken out.

looking for post surgery pregnancy positivity!
Please don’t judge, I am grateful, but just looking for solidarity from anyone who has had similar feelings after finding out post laparoscopic
surgery
. I think I haven’t really had time to process “what has happened” as has been a 10 year battle to be diagnosed.

Preserflo and Trab surgery
I was delighted to hear the answer to my question as I had not been able to see the surgeon ( he was off sick ) yet I was being booked in for
surgery
. Now I should be getting a phone consultation next month and will know what to ask. So thank you to all the speakers and Glaucoma UK staff.

Is anyone familiar with the GUN trial?
My husband had decided he wanted
surgery
and then they presented this trial, which requires delaying
surgery
by six months to participate in the drug therapy before
surgery
. That would mean he would be a year out from the initial detection on the CT scan by the time they do the
surgery
.

Erect Penis appears shorter after circumcision.
But when I get an erection now the erect penis appeared shorter than it was before the
surgery
. When I measured it, to my horror the erect penis is now atleast 1.5 inch shorter than it was before the
surgery
. Is the penis not gaining its full length because of the aforesaid swelling?

Laparoscopy healing
It's been 3 months since my
surgery
, and I fear my pain is worse than before. I've been prescribed diazepam for pain which I'm taking twice daily alongside, paracetamol and menfamic acid. Is this residual pain from
surgery
or the healing process still?

surgery and post surgery
I had a laparoscopy in April and it was confirmed I have endometriosis but that they didn’t find much of it just scarring and adhesions, they removed adhesions as I had them sticking my bowel and fallopian tube together and also from my uterus to abdomen. They also explained how they have seen nodules

Major surgery and a Vasovagal event
I had gluteal reconstructive
surgery
. The anaesthetist suggested I should increase my pred. So I did the sick day rule and added 5. Three days after
surgery
I had a Vasovagal event and the crash cart was called. I had a concussion and stayed in hospital a further two nights.

open Heart Surgery
I had open heart
surgery
at Wythenshawe Hospital in 1984. It went well and recovery was quick. It takes time to build up stamina to return to normal. By the time you leave hospital you should be able to get out of the bath on your own.

Alternative to lapaoscopy
I actually think my first
surgery
missed issues with my bowel and that the endometriosis has come back. Is there any alternative
surgery
methods other than keyhole a surgeon can do that I've not been offered or not done on the NHS?
