HI, Long, angry story ahead story. Ready? :-/ I've posted a few times before about my chronic pain and the fact that I am finding things increasingly difficult. I am currently managing to work full time as a teacher, but my attendance is suffering due to increased pain and withdrawal from pregabalin

Ohhhhh something new to play with
It seems after ignoring pain in my ankle for about 8 weeks and then going to GP and having steroid injection that didn't work, I have developed peroneal tenosynivitis. Does anyone have any experience with this? I am currently doing home TENs machine and ultrasound but have booked in for a physio appt

I have RA and my husband has been having blood tests for RA unfortunately. When he saw a consultant at his first appointment it was very visible as his hands were so swollen and painful.. At his second appointment he was told he definitely had a inflammatory arthritis, but they didn't no which one as

Methotrexate not working so what next?
Hi everyone as the title says my Methotrexate meds don't seem to be working. I currently take 6 tablets a week and I started taking them in February this year . I am still in a lot of pain I have immense fatigue and feel miserable. I am living off pain killers. Even the steroid injection only worked

Article About Steroid Injections is Informative
The article here is short and sweet. Enjoy http://www.orthoontheweb.com/pdfs/about_cortisone_injections.pdf I found it to be a good read because I do get injections from time to time on my "good knee" - the other has been replaced due to sport injury.. best thing ever to have it replaced. I am so

Here is an article about steroid injections. It's short and sweet. directly to the point. Enjoy this http://www.orthoontheweb.com/pdfs/about_cortisone_injections.pdf Any thoughts? Some of us get steroid injections several times a year. I've never gotten the after-care instructions as given on

Pain and Parkinsons
A couple if years I submitted a question on Pain and Parkinsons. Since that time my pain has increased. I am not able to link it definitely to my Parkinsons, but I am pretty sure it is. I have six monthly injections in my spine and also steroid injections in my knees. I know other people suffer intense

Miserable
After being diagnosed with RA in October last year, was put on Methotrexate it was gradually increased to 25mg weekly and then sulfasalazine was then put in, my liver enzymes had increased also and had reached 100 at one point so was taken off everything to let things settle, liver went back to normal

Does any one have carpal tunnel as well? I'm having steroid injections into my hand next week sounds painful but if it works then that's one less thing to put up with. I'm having a low day wish I had a friend I could talk to. I'm lying in bed with my dogs, hope I find a friend or two on this. Sweet pee

Steroid injections and gabapentin for pain
I am curious about steroid injections I have never been given the option from my rheumatologist, I am currently on oral prednisone, is that the same ? I have had to go to the hospital when I have bad flares and I was given through a iv which I think was a steroid, and it helped tremendously! Currently

Arthritis and yoga
Hello everyone! I'm back on HCQ on a lower dose now (200mg/day) after I had to stop because of the side effects before. So far it seems not much in the way of side effects (yet), so fingers crossed it'll help this time. My other half suggested a while ago that he read yoga could be beneficial for arthritis

Confused and upset
Had a hospital visit yesterday with my rheumy nurse, has now been 4 weeks since starting the mtx. I have been struggling again with pain and stiffness in both knees but more so the left one as usual. Have previously had a steroid injection in this one which did help for a few months but has worn off

Epidural steroid injection
Today I had my first Cervical Epidural Steroid Injection. I did fine after and most of the rest of the day. Now I'm in pain and my muscles are even more tense than the usual rock-like feel. My meds aren't helpin and neither is ice. I know they said it can take a few days to feel the effects, but I don't
