My Story
I thought I would share my journey with everyone. July 2014 I was 40 and ready to have my baby. Ryan was born on 17th July 2014 & I was over the moon, I just wanted to do everything for him & I did. Ryan was a few weeks old & I could feel my wrist & shoulder getting sore, to the extent were I couldn't

I can move and it feels amazing.
I don't want to speak too soon, but I am over the moon. I have cried with happiness this morning. After yesterday's steroid injection nightmare, today is a good day. The best day I've had in over 2 months. Nothing hurts. My joints aren't swollen. I woke up early full of energy. I could lift myself

Steroid injections. Oh my gosh.
So, today I had my appointment at the rheumatologist. I've been on hydroxychloroquine for 6 weeks and symptoms are not getting much better. I still struggle every morning with swollen joints in my fingers and muscle pains in my biceps and calves. I also still have a rash on my chest from 6 weeks ago.

Well my letter of complaint to PALs has been sent. What experience have others had?
By coincidence the same day I sent my letter I received one from the hospital in response to an urgent referral my GP sent three weeks ago asking for permission to treat me if they weren't going to. The letter from them effectively says I am not worth treating. That I had no right to go to my GP and

Steroid injections or treatment assessment?
I wanted to have some thoughts from you lovely people on here. I was diagnosed 3 years ago with RA and have been having Mxt 15mg weekly since. My RA has greatly improved since the early days but I still have a lot of flares and can't do many of the things I used to enjoy. A year ago my rheumatologist

Rock bottom: any ideas?
Hi I'm new here. So, first of all, apologies for a long and depressing post! A little about me: I'm 35, have had seronegative RA since my early 20s. No kids, but a lively dog. Have tried many meds: methotrexate, sulfasalzine, plaquenil, humira, enbrel and orencia - with no real improvement. Just horrible

Steroid Injection
Hi. I've had ongoing lower back pain since the birth of my first child 6 years ago. About 6 months ago it got a lot worse and had 4 weeks housebound. Since then I've had constant sciatica in my leg and an MRI scan showed a large herniated disc. I have been going to physio and doing daily very gentle

Hello and advice please
Hi, I'm a newbie to group, just found you!! I was diagnosed with Psoriatic arthritis when I was 38, I am now approaching 58! During that time I have taken Methotrexate from 5mg upto, and probably for the last 12 years 17.5mg. It kept the bodily psoriasis under control as well as the flare ups of arthritis

Hardly any time with Rheumatologist - is this normal?
Hi all, hope this finds you well. Since the beginning of all this, my appointments with the Rheumatologist have been squeezed into injection clinics i.e. pretty rushed. I was expecting a bit more consultation during this process e.g. discussing blood test results or the Rheumatologist asking about

Reaction to a steroid/local anaesthetic injection.
Hi, I want to know if anyone has had a similar reaction to me when given a local anaesthetic mix steroid injection. It was 2 years ago now and I am still completely incapacitated. I had the injection at the back of my head on the left side, immediately afterwards, as I stood up to leave, I fell to
