Coccydynia
Hi All, I'm a new member and would welcome feedback. I suffer from severe coccydynia pain (this pain emanates from the coccyx). It is very deliberating as I can only sit for a short periods of time which eliminates social life severely. The pain is quite unbearable only way I can describe the pain

About treatments and diagnosis
I have been having joint pain for the last 5 years. Started after a very stressful period in my life. I was pregnant with my third baby and found out 4 weeks before he was due that I had a small skin cancer. We were also getting a new kitchen and our only running water was the upstairs bath, so I was

Post steroid come down
After being given a steroid injection at my first rheumatologist appointment I was so happy to say it was working, less pain more energy, improved mood and like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I had barely dared to hope that it would work so well! Now 2 weeks on as the Dr predicted I have

Lymphoedema + morton's neuroma
Hi all, Glad to find this LSN group as I've always felt alone with my condition! Newbie here with primary lymphoedema from age 12 but now diagnosed with 2 very painful Morton's neuromas nearly 40 years of age (in the same right foot). Due to have both excised as steroid injections haven't worked. Anyone

Paleo diet and Lupus
I have what my consultant believes is Lupus, I've been ill for 20 years now, but was told it was ME for ages and nothing they could do until I found my lovely consultant in Lincoln. I read on these blogs that some people have found the Paleo diet to be helpful and they could manage without their steroids

cervical epidural steroid injection
Hi, I am new to this site but have had back operations and injections over the past 6 years. Unfortunately I had a stroke 3 days after my last set of cervical injections. I had never been told that this was a risk but have taken it on the chin as one of those things until I saw the pain specialist yesterday

Just starting steroid injections to induce menopause for treatment of endo - how to prepare for this?
Hi all, I've had a bit of a whirlwind year from finding out I have endometriosis level 4 whilst doing investigations for fertility, to having a laparoscopy to drain a cyst and remove a little of the endo, I'm now due to start taking steroid injections so I can begin IVF treatment. I'm still getting

At my wits end.
I have oseoarthritis in my right hip and severe coxidynia. I have tried steroid injections, Ibuprofen, voltaren, and other anti- inflammatory medications. They take the edge off the pain but it never goes away. I have also visited a chiropractor, osteopath and physiotherapist. Nothing seems to help.

Constant pain is changing my personality 😢
Hi... typed red hot poker going from my shoulder into my neck on Google and this wonderful site came up. I go to a chiropractor who adjusts my neck but its only a short relief. Just reading the posts here and to know that I'm not alone in my pain, makes me feel better already. Think I'm going to ask

I am 46 and have Osteoarthritis in knees and they hurt all the time. I have had steroid injections in both but it hasn't helped. I am on Citalopram for depression. I feel like everything is a struggle. The doctor has given me painkillers for my knee and told me to exercise. Any advice to help the pain

Only the Beginning
I was diagnosed with seronegative inflammatory arthritis about 17 months ago. I had my first related surgery on 6/20/2017. Thankfully, I am right handed. I now have a half cast/splint on my left wrist which I'll be wearing for the next 5 weeks, 2 days. I have tenosynovitis involving the tendon of
