Knee treatment with lymphedema
Hi all, hope everyone is as well as can be expected. I have been having knee pain for a couple of years. Largely due to the bi lateral lymph increasing the size of my thighs thus causing my gait to alter throwing out ankles, knees, hips and back, like we all know it can. X-ray revealed arthritic wear

Statins and Levothyroxine
I was diagnosed with under active thyroid in 1983, based on TSH And T4 blood results, no other test to identify cause. I had been suffering what I now know were hypothyroid symptoms for almost 2 years, progressively getting worse before finally getting diagnosed (so bad I don’t think I would have lasted

Hip Pain & anxiety
Hi, Just wondering who else has hip pain. I've been getting treatment for the last 6 months for bilateral hip bursitis but after an mri last week I have found today it's not that. In fact my physio said they can't see anything on my hip or spine, nothing that indicates anything wrong at all. She said

Catch up news
Hello everybody, I hope you are enjoying the slightly warmer weather and the lighter nights. Anyway, I had a hospital appointment last week, came away having had a steroid injection in the right buttock this time, haha, and the prospect of a top up session of iloprost due to the fact I have a big toe

I have a fairly bad flare up at the moment - left foot, knee ,hip and right wrist. The consultant wanted to put me on methotrexate but I'd heard bad things about it so I refused. Instead I had a steroid injection which did nothing at all. I take 1 or 2 tablets of diclofenac a day but I'm thinking i

Rhuemi appt- does this make sense?
I've seen a rheumatologist tonight. Everything indicates I have Lupus, but I might not have it. I have arthritis in most of my joints, facial rash and fatigue. I've had a steroid injection and I'm told this might put me into remission 😁😁. From what I understand, the reaction to the steroid injection

Systemic (Intramuscular) Corticosteroid Injection (Betamethasone) for Inflammatory Pain
Hello Everyone, Greetings from Bolivia. About a week ago I had an Intramuscular Corticosteroid Injection in my butt for chronic pain in my spine, hips, pelvis. Unfortunately, it seems the pain is getting worse. I'm also concerned I may develop some of the horrible side effects associated with steroid

Skin sores
I have written a post a few weeks back talking about skin sores as some of you might have seen my posts before, I have been in a huge flare recently and just had my meds put up and a steroid injection to sort it out, this has been going on a good few months now and I keep getting these awful skin sores

Steroid injection has done nothing :(
Hiya all hope you are doing ok, so after my HUGE flare I had a 120mg of steroid injection and I will be honest it’s hardly done anything. When having my ultra sound it showed serve inflammation in wrists and hands (as I knew) and also extensive thickening throughout. The swelling has been horrendous

Hi :) Does anyone else have similar symptoms?
Hello, I've just managed to secure a gynaecologist appointment after a few months seeing numerous different doctors and having a few tests done. Luckily saw a GP a few weeks ago that bought up endometriosis without any sort of push. Hallelujah! Currently I've had all my bloods done, an abdominal ultrasound

still in limbo....
morning all, hope you are all well, or as well as can be expected. I haven't been here for a few weeks, been busy with work and family issues, but thought I would drop back in again for an update and advice if possible? so I don't have arthritis - good news, but my pain is getting worse. the cold weather

Nerve Pain?
Hi All, I have osteo-arthritis in both thumbs. I use Meloxicam for pain. Today I saw a hand specialist. He said it looks as if each thumb is becoming a trigger thumb. He suggested a steroid injection in the thumb joint. Since my right thumb is worse I went with the injection. I'm beginning to feel like

Visit to GP re knee pain
Been to see my GP. Gave me capsaicin cream to apply 4 times a day. He thought of steroid injection but decided against it because of all medication I’m on. If no improvement in a few days to go back and see him. Time will tell!!!
