Is it long Covid
I had many flares but the last one was when my GP during Covid put my
steroids
up from 6mg to 15mg as I had head and jaw pain. After scans etc it was decided the cause was neuropathic and I began the long withdrawal back to 6mg.

A glass of wine??
Whilst all info PMR and
steroids
state avoid alcohol, I am no lush but do love my six o’clock tipple. Since being diagnosed I have completely gone off red wine 😳😳 however Rose seems fine and apparently has many anti- inflammatory benefits and more reservatol.

Adalimumab - does it need tapering?
Does adalimumab need to be tapered like
steroids
? Or can one stop it if the desired effect of bringing down the inflammation is not achieved?

ACUTE ONSET OF BULLOUS SKIN RASH AND ACUTE KIDNEY INJURY AFTER EXPOSURE TO RADIOCONTRAST
History, clinical examination with abrupt onset of a painful erythematous rash, dense neutrophilic dermal infiltrate without vasculitis after drug/contrast exposure, and resolution of symptoms after urgent cessation and early initiation of high-dose
steroids
all suggested a diagnosis of SS.

Chest infection shall I increase steroids for a few days.
I have PMR and GCA diagnosed in 2020. Started on 40 mg then quickly reduced as advised by consultant, which caused a flare. Fortunately found all of you. I have been on 9 mg for about 2 months but had chest infection since last week. Got antibiotics and slowly recovering. However I have asthma and am

Night sweats worse and facial flushing after steroid injection
I had a steroid injection last Friday and have had facial flushing and raised bp in the morning and raised pulse since. Sometimes I wake up about 2am sweating with raised pulse and if I move even slightly it shoots up to about 110. It’s very slow to return to normal. Anyone have a similar experience

Any young people with shitty bones on this?
I’ve come off
steroids
entirely and been on forsteo for a yr and had a 12-15% increase in BMD but wondering if anyone else has been in a similar boat and if they did anything else to further increase bone density or what they did post forsteo ?

help me to understand
They have told him that they will give him two or three rounds of radiation to stem the bleeding , and he has
steroids
and antibiotics and will have a supply of oxygen at home in case he needs it. He has been poorly for a while but this is a new diagnosis. He has had copd for many years.

This pattern wasn't crystal clear then or after returning home because I was so full of antibiotics,
steroids
and who knows what else. I couldn't tell anymore what was causing what. Since arriving home, I'd at least been able to return to good food and care, and I was thinking clearer.

Is it Fibromyalgia?
His diagnosis was that my PMR was under control and to continue to reduce my
steroids
, my GP had sent him my last blood test results. He said I had Myofascial Trigger Points and told me I had Fibromyalgia.

Has anyone developed Lichen Sclerosus after pelvic radiotherapy?
I was recently diagnosed with Lichen Sclerosus in the genital area. I had chemoradiotherapy 14 years ago for SCC rectum. The cause of LS is not known though trauma to the skin is thought to be one contributory factor. I am extremely worried about this recent development as LS is associated with the development

9 years in the menopause
I’m also taking
steroids
for another unrelated condition (PMR) I have never taken HRT due to it linked to cancer. The problem I’m having is I can’t bare much more of the hot flushes! I don’t know what to do or if I should now consider HRT.
