Joint Steroid Injection
Hi,Im due to have a Steroid Injection in my knee to hopefully relieve the symptoms of Osteoarthritis. Which is very painful most of the time, and can be very debilitating. Just Wondering if anyone has had this done and knows how long it lasts before wearing off? Do they work? Are they worth having done

Weaning off steroids causing mood changes?
Afternoon all, I am on 7mg
steroids
at the moment and I have been weaning off
steroids
steadily for about a year or more I would say. I have been on
steroids
for over 4 years now. I have been as low as 5.5mg before.

EGPA Diagnosis today
Kidney health was deteriorating so idea was to put me on
Steroids
ASAP prior to diagnosis being confirmed. Body has responded well and will be out of hospital today. Anyone have any similar stories or any advice. I'm feeling much better with the
steroids
and can breath for England.

Copious amounts of sputum
Ive had multiple courses of antibiotics &
steroids
. Iāve only just had a sputum sample returned, ābug free!ā All these infections have created a new issue. Excessive sputum production. I wake between 3am and 5am every night with lungs full.

Down, but not out!
With the help of various
steroids
and hydrocortisone I'm on the way up....and just so happy to be out there again. I run through woods and over heathlands and it makes me into a much nicer person! I think I'm allergic to Winter tho I hate being cold as soon as I heat up I start itching.

Anyone had hand therapy for Chronic repetitive strain injury of the wrists?
My question is has anyone ever had hand therapy for chronic tendonitis or like a chronic repetitive strain injury in your wrist? And if so did it help with the pain? This is the only thing that I've not tried besides obviously I've not tried surgery and I asked my orthopedic hand dr about it and he doesn't

Adventures in decreasing prednisone
I feel desperate to get off the
steroids
as I have many side effects. Osteoporosis with fractures, newly found diabetes, high cholesterol (new), , cataract (new) Blood vessels that break very easily, and new kidney issues. All in all this disease and treatment has done a number on me.

Can polymyalgia be misdiagnosed for fibromyalgia and vice versa?
I can't remember what treatment Mum was on for fibromyalgia but I do know she was on
steroids
for polymyalgia. Whatever the dose she was never free from pain. I believe that
steroids
won't touch fibro.

Prescribed Naproxine 250 twice a day for hip bursitis is that dangerous with Pred
I was prescribed Naproxine 250 twice a day yesterday for bursitis ? on right hip. Pain is so bad dr. gave a steroid injection. Suggested I take up to 4g of Paracetamol if necessary. Just read of NHS site that Naproxine and Pred are not compatible. Is this true for short time use? If so what

Could my new statins have upset the Apple cart?
I am due to see a Rheumatologist this week to investigate possible alternative diagnosis of PMR and the arthritis in my thumbs and hands which has probably been concealed by the
steroids
. Also to hopefully put my mind at rest about the pain in my jaw and chin.
