The lower back pain would be very concerning to me. One of the fears my wife and I have about colonoscopies is a rupture or nick of the colon wall. Sepsis can set in and cause a severe infection. Best to have it checked out.
Agree on LL's response. I have to get them done twice a year. I am so sorry for the diagnosis. It isn't fun in anyway. I too cannot take NSAIDs due to blood thinning turns to nose bleeds. I will say that I have had some post colonoscopies side effects, but different each time. Pain in various places, etc. I tend to get a lot of Polyps cut out. Did they take a ton of biopsies? Still always check. I really hate getting them done. I mean who loves it! But it's worth the long term health!
I just had a colonoscopy on Friday - I recall the literature saying that if you get any pain like this to seek help straight away. If the ward gave you a number when you were discharged, maybe try that, or contact the number for the department/consultant, if no luck maybe try 111 for guidance.
