Normal cortisol levels
I was prescribed methotrexate during the year as a sparing drug because the
steroids
had an adverse effect. This didn't work so the rheumatologist prescribed leflunomide which again didn't work. He wanted to put me on a biologic which I was to inject at home, the name of this began with T.

CCR6 & CCL20 are the key drivers in prostate tumor microenvironment.
I find this interesting on using arthritis drugs injected into tumor during immunotherapy instead of
steroids

Asthma flare up any advice?
Currently on
steroids
and amoxicillin for last 3 days.
Steroids

Does Prednisolone cause anxiety, panic and depression?
Are there any alternative
steroids
that can help lupus without these side effects? I know we are not doctors. My doctor said they don’t know the cause and that it could be. The anxiety and panic and not able to think is changing my life completely for the worse.

options after Caelyx
She has obtained more
steroids
and has only done one round of Caelyx…her second round is on Tuesday (2 days away). Are there any alternatives to Caelyx? Anything else she can try? She feels defeated and like its the last hope. She also believes it just needs time to kick in.

Any advice apprecaited
we started to taper down the
steroids
to 1 mg but he was sleeping 21 hours a day. His repeat scan showed increased swelling with a midline shift. His
steroids
were re started at a higher dose and he received several doses of avastin generic type. He started with SOB.

Have asthma allergies and long COVID etc etc I’m often on antibiotics and
steroids
since diagnosis and pollution seems to really exacerbate my condition . That explains why I’ve always been better by the sea. I ve gone the longest time recently without a flare up .

Has anyone heard of Parsonage Turner Syndrome? Out of interest.
I don’t believe I have PMR anymore, despite the discomfort and exhaustion, but am completely stuck on
steroids
. It’s going to be very difficult to reduce. I tried 7mg one morning and my body missed that 0.5mg . I know 7.5mg isn’t covering my needs but am trying to live with it .

Flare or reaction to Leflunomide Dmard
Hello everyone, I've had diagnosis of PMR & GCA since 2012 (@45) on maintenance
steroids
and HYXQ since. Rheumatologist did hand ultrasound scan to see if possible RA . Was surprised when told I had, as I hadn't really had probs with hands .

hair loss - Adalimumab ?
I hope it’s not the injections as they seem to be working (after several other
steroids
being unsuccessful and azathoprine causing my liver cirrhosis). I’ve contacted my GP. Does anyone have any advice or experienced this? Xx

MART (maintenance as reliever therapy)
on the montelukast as there’s a slight risk of making it worse in that department and we’re not big fans of doing that but in theory we might have to if that makes sense as when I was on it it did benefit me and I had less flare ups but this has been my worse one in awhile and the last time I was on

Tearful all the time
When I was diagnosed in September last year I was on anti-inflammatory
steroids
for 8 months. My last injection was in February, and the Rheumatologist told me it should be out of my system in 3 months, so that would've been May.

Should I increase my
steroids
again under sick day rules when having flu jab? Sorry for long post but very confused with how to progress. Not sure respiratory ward or nurse giving jab completely understands the situation. Any advice from you experienced people would help.

I refused
steroids
as I listen to my gut instinct, but was started on mycophenolate. As teams carried on investigating what was going on further scans were showing nodules were disappearing themselves. Which was great.
