Diverticulitis?
I thought I'd Google'd it and it seems those on
steroids
have a higher mortality from it than normal people! I never knew that and although I'm only at an early stage, it bothered me that I'd not read anything about it in the bumph. Has anyone else had this and been ok?

Donor Egg - mixed feelings
We have done ICSI and used embryo glue had endometrial scratch had extra progesterone support and
steroids
and also down regulated before the FET. So I feel like we have done everything we can and have run out of new things to do now.

Plantar fascia tear, due to long-term prednisone use?
He says it's an unusual injury, but likely due to long-term
steroids
. I have a tear to my plantar fascia, where it inserts under the heel. He strapped it and suggested heel cups to lift my heel (Amazon) and only supportive trainers while it heals.

advice on sulfasalazine and the sun
I have been told by my rheumatologist nurse that I need to start taking sulfasalazine for my reactive arthritis, as I had a steroid injection after taking
steroids
orally, but it’s still not keeping the joint stiffness at bay completely .

I'm on
steroids
that gave immediate side effects I'm taking loads of tablets every day. Every letter that comes through my door has NHS written on it. I'm physically disfigured. I'm hardly leaving the house unless necessary.

I was given 40mg
steroids
per day , as suspected GCA . Then saw a rheumy who reduced me to nil
steroids
in 8 weeks . During tapering at around 15,20mg per day , I felt the same pain return - neck, shoulders & upper arms . Also legs, groin & hips . Appetite declined .

Second Rituximab infusion.
Antihistamine and
steroids
made me a little drowsy but infusion went smoothly with no dramas. The suite was full and looking around I felt fortunate seeing how poorly a lot of the patients looked. Had a couple of hours sleep when I got home. Third infusion next week.

How would a rational person deal with this? What would be their thought process?
Twelve years later I have been under ent had ct scans which have shown some sinus thickening, they said it didn’t look too bad and advised me to carry on with nasal
steroids
.

no wheeze
I know in the next few days I will be back because she has got worse because they didn’t give her
steroids
today. Is a wheeze the only sign they are interested in 😫

Methotrexate
It’s been reasonably effective in controlling the inflammation but certainly not as effectively as the
steroids
I was prescribed initially. Tim

Satisfactory Rheumatology Appointment
My regular rheumatologist referred me to her colleague, who unfortunately was extremely antagonist, unsympathetic, obnoxious and seemed totally void of any real or meaningful understanding of PMR or
steroids

Is this a lupus rash?
This year I’ve had 2 courses of
steroids
. I am also on hydroxychloroquine which I’ve been on for 10 years now. In June I started on methotrexate. I have a phone call tomorrow with the rheumatologist nurse. Is it worth asking to see a dermatologist?

late diagnosis-too old?
They prescribed a course of
steroids
which helped but the pain returned as soon as he finished them. He is waiting for a steroid injection into the wrist but now has covid. Covid seems to have exacerbated his pains. Did Covid cause a flare up for any of you?

Immune Responses + Autoimmune Myelofibrosis
There is a form of myelofibrosis that is called Autoimmune Myleofibrosis (AUMF) for which
steroids
are an effective treatment if the condition is identified and treated soon enough. Search pubmed for this and you will see many papers going back 20 years.

Lansoprazole - reducing dose
Hi I have been on lansprazole 30mg since starting
steroids
3 years ago. I am now down to 2mg
steroids
and want to reduce ppi as I have started having problems with digestion ( I think mainly fats) and diarrhoea some days, so I am losing too much weight, as I'm not eating properly.

He is currently on a high does of
steroids
(has been for 3 weeks) this all started back in April when I noticed his urine was a strange colour, luckily no other symptoms just some swelling since being on the
steroids
. They were treating him before the biopsy for post infection glomerulonephritis.
