nasal wash

Had bronchiectasis eventually diagnosed after c.t. Scan 15 months ago. Have asthma allergies and long COVID etc etc

I’m often on antibiotics and steroids since diagnosis and pollution seems to really exacerbate my condition .

That explains why I’ve always been better by the sea.

I ve gone the longest time recently without a flare up .

And my hay fever been less of a problem.

My only change is I’m using twice daily a sterimar salt nasal wash and the great French brand Puressentiel “nasal spray protection “. That seems to coat the nose .

Anyone else finding similar routine helpful in keeping infections at bay.

No doubt I’ll have a flare up after posting this .

but certainly my allergies are less severe.

Interested to hear anyone’s experience.

I don’t have asthma but have had a lot of sinus problems in the past. I used neilmed sinus rinse, as recommended by ENT doctors. It certainly helped clearing my sinuses but didn’t always stop the infection going to my lungs. I’m sure the fresher air will be helping you. There’s nothing like a good walk along the beach to clear the airways.

Like Mooka, I also use the sinus rinse and it has worked wonders. It flushes out all the day’s gunk that has gone up my nose and I haven’t had an exacerbation since I started earlier this year.
