Could I please ask whether anyone has used the Optibac probiotics for a fresh cycle or a frozen cycle? I hadn’t heard of them until recently. If so which ones did you choose or which did your clinic suggest to use? I’m guessing intimate flora for women which suggest they reach the womb. The choices are Optibac Every day extra, Optibac intimate flora for women or Optibac Every day. Our clinic has asked us to start using these now as well as the canesflor pessaries.
We are planning our next frozen cycle for January, this time using buserelin to down reg due to irregular periods. We’ve had a couple of years off renovating our house with the last 2 cycles ending up with 2 early losses, 1 of those I ended up rushed to hospital. It turned out was a blighted ovum, we were devastated.
We have been trying to conceive for 11 years, and have tried on our own, then own egg ivf and the last couple of cycles donor eggs. We’re not ready to give up yet!!
I can’t wait to get started, we are throwing everything at it this time, Intralipids, higher dosage progesterone due to low levels with previous cycles (intramuscular injections as well as pessaries 3 times per day), antibiotics, blood thinners, steroids, aspirin, I think there are more meds but I’ve lost count!!
Anyone else also having to take a whole heap of meds for their cycles too!?
Wishing lots of luck to you all. 😊😊

I am throwing everything at it this time as well, and booked for my FET on the 21st of the Month.
I have being using culturelle natural flora as well as (was recommended to me) and canesflor vaginal probiotics, and have been for the last few months and it has made a significant difference to my gut health. Also taking actimel no sugar each day.
I wish you all the best with your transfer when it comes round in January. xxx
So yeah I have tried lots of new things this cycle. So I would say going into the first cycle I was pretty naive about it all. Got to the NHS bmi of 30 and as soon as that was approved did what I liked.
This time I did a lot more research, added loads of supplements, changed my diet, removed sugars, caffeine and alcohol, and refined carbs and significantly increased my protein intake. I added in 5K run 5 times a week, then switched to the gym and I now do positive affirmations and meditation as well.
I tried acupuncture and yoga as well but they weren’t for me. I dropped about 40lbs before egg retrieval. I have removed as many stresses to my life as possible to keep my cortisol levels low. That meant tackling things that were making me unhappy and I did some counselling as well.
I only had one embryo that made it to 5 day blastocyst but got that PGT-A tested (I have just turned 41). That was the same number as made it to 5 day blastocyst the year before.
About a month after retrieval I started taking the supplements recommended for transfer and have added more fruit to my diet. It isn’t as strict as before but it’s a bit more realistic.
Ultimately I don’t know if any of this will make a difference or not, but since I can only afford one round of private treatment, I wanted to throw everything I had at it so at least if it doesn’t work I know I tried. Xxx
