Each time I see him he ups my
steroids
, but advice on living with uncontrolled asthma is lacking. I eventually got fed up and went to a private respiratory physio and did the asthma UK breathe easy programme. It has been fascinating.

Need to Rant. Worried my upcoming Valve Surgery may be cancelled due to getting Bronchitis .
Started my rescue pack of
steroids
and Doxycline. ( I have asthma and c.o.p.d ) I usually recover quickly but to cut a long story short. I didn't. Roll on second course of each. Home visit by nurse, then another home visit by G.P two days later. No improvement . Peak flow was 140.

Is eosinophilic asthma mostly severe?
I think it is a type of eosinophilic rhinitis I have as I have to keep taking high dose nasal
steroids
and my blood eosinophil count is always 0.6 x 10/L

I don’t know what to do about
steroids
. I have got down to 1/2 mg but have not reduced further since becoming ill. Should I up the dose or hope that pains will subside as I continue to recover? Also can I ask , do people find their sense of taste and smell come back in time?

Sudden anxiety attacks and mood swing on first Prednisone taper
I’m still waiting for my rheumatology appointment, but meanwhile the GP prescribed
steroids
that are working well, where all other pain medication was not. So the joint pain is under control. We started tapering my dose to 15mg 5 days ago.

gp recommends her advice for every flare up
I spoke to my gp today after starting
steroids
two weeks ago for PMR. We discussed what to do if I have a flare up, especially when I’m tapering. She said I should contact her with any flare up, as I may need a blood test.

Fast forward to recently and in an effort to reduce the number of
steroids
I’m taking, I decided to give it another go. I lasted 4 weeks but have had a similar experience, so stopped about a week ago.

Update on Ven & Obin protocol
Tiredness I found was primarily due to the high dose of Benadryl, anti nausea and maybe the
steroids
they give with the Obin. Once I was off the weekly and moved to monthly Obin infusions energy improved.

anxiety
The doctor has increased my anxiety medication given me a supply of diazepam and advised me to start tapering my
steroids
. I am terrified of developing GCA so maybe anxiety is my problem. Just thought that I would ask your advise. Many thanks

Feeling dreadful but doc says results are fine!
I could be wrong but I just feel like it's my thyroid that's out as my symptoms have come on more recently in addition to the side effects from the
steroids
.

Exhausted
The pain in my back, left are and leg is constantly there even with the
steroids
. My other aches are still showing up due to the PMR. I’m still working 30 hours a week and it’s a physical job, so don’t know how long I can keep going as I’m exhausted all the time.

Enhertu side effect: pneumonitis (lung inflammation)
Unfortunately this means I have to abandon Enhertu and wait to start any new chemo until the lungs are stabilized through a course of high-dose
steroids
(60 mg Prednisone/day) that will gradually taper off over several weeks.

Any advice for gastro symptoms which respond to steroids, but no diagnosis? Does normal colonoscopy cover the small bowel?
The only time I've felt this good was on the previous time I took
steroids
(approx 1.5 years ago). I'm not taking any loperamide or any of the prescription drugs and feel great. I'm assuming this will wear off once the effects of the
steroids
is out of my system.

cataracts b.c. of long-term steroids
Does anyone know what the symptoms of cataracts developing are, after long-term use of inhaled
steroids
and/or prednisolone? I've heard cataracts are common symptoms, and I wonder how one knows one is developing them.

Dad diagnosed with GBM grade 4
This has improved with
steroids
but we don’t want to leave him as he is at risk of seizures and his mobility and memory could deteriorate quickly again. We have spoken to Macmillan and palliative care but they have not been very helpful in terms of support for him at home.

Tapering Regime while on Kevzara (or other biologic)
I hope it works to get me off
steroids
we shall see! I'll give it a full two months on the injections before attempting a taper. Thanks for any input! I hope this will be approved overseas soon!

Thanks to all here - split dose over 24 hrs evenly?
I know this is complicated in term of circadian rhythms and adrenal gc production but I would have thought taking all at once will produce an uneven level of
steroids
over 24 hrs whilst an overall level could be lower if spread out. Is that faulty reasoning ?Has anyone tried this ?
