predinasolane and ivf weight gain? Side effects?

hi I’m due to cycle in a few months and wanted to get views on thyroid and taking steroids for ivf transfer.

Hi Poop. Your thyroid gland secretes a hormone and should be, around 2.4 for fertility. Prednisolone is a steroid and is sometimes given after repeated IVF failures to try and prevent rejection. Given in low doses to prevent weight gain and other side effects. Diane

I've been on 20mg prenidlisone for ivf cycle (started on day 3 of cycle) and meant to be weaning from 12 weeks pregnancy. It was successful, so weaning now. No side effects or weight gain (possibly a bit hungry on them, but that could be the pregnancy itself!)

No, sorry! Did have 6 transfers before that were unsuccessful (without steroids). Also added embryo glue and hcg shot for the successful FET.

no worries I’ve got to take thyroid meds my end so that makes me balloon more during any hormonal tablets or steroids I think!
